Worst Ride

What is the worst rollercoaster at Cedar Point? I have never been there (I'm going this summer)and i was wondering what rollercoasters i should skip in case i run out of time.
Well I don't think there are any bad coasters at Cedar Point, but in the past few years I have grown to not make the Corkscrew a big priority for the day.A few rides where you come off with headaches and backaches are that fun while you could be riding the silky-smooth MF or just a different coaster-hey, there are 14!
I would try to hit all 6 of the big Guys:
Mantis
Mean Streak
Milennium Force
Raptor
Magnum
Power tower
They are truly THE BEST.

But,, if you want to get as many coasters in as possible, add corkscrew to your list. I've never waited more than 25 minutes for it, and It's a great coaster for those people who claim they won't ride some of the bigger rides because "of the loops" or because "it goes upside down."If your interested in photography, you may also want to take a few pictures of this midway/area at night. It looks very nice lit up.

I like The Gemini *** This post was edited by RaineyDayRider on 3/16/2001. ***
There really isnt a bad ride. Yes, some are a bit bumpy, but CP doesnt make "bad" rides.

MF Count: 11
Do your best to ride them all!! Totally worth "going all out" and waiting for each and every one, at least all 12 of the "adult" coasters. While some are better than others, they all have their "good parts."

Only 2290½ miles from Cedar Po!nt
Everyone will have their opinion about best and worst coasters, but truly, they all have their great points, depending on what you're looking for. Airtime, a softer ride, speed, quick turns, etc... I agree with Soggy, ride them all, as best you can!

I'd suggest hitting a big one just as the park opens: either Raptor or Millenium Force, because that way you can wait a shorter amount of time for them, probably. Take on small ones right away afterwards, because most everyone will be running to the big rides and you'll be able to get right on the smaller ones without more than a 15-20 minute wait once they open. Then, when the lines get really long in the afternoon, you can hit non-coaster rides, shows, eating (after which smaller coasters: Disaster Transport, Mine Ride - are still okay), games, etc., or go ahead and wait for a couple more of the big ones - Mantis, Mean Streak, etc, since the lines for everything will be longer anyway. I'd suggest leaving the Mean Streak and Gemini until nearly closing, because most people tend to drift toward the main gate and those lines really shorten up.

When you go will definately have an effect: avoid August and July if you can, because the lines are much longer, not to mention the hotter weather then. My recommendation is for mid-June up until about the 24-25, since everything will be staffed, stocked, and open, but the lines are still shorter and the weather cooler, and school trips are tapering off.

But definately try to get to all of them, and don't forget the other great things at CP too! :)

Live for FUN!

GO SHAMROCKS!
GO WOLVERINES!
Is disaster transport like a bobsled ride?
Yes... a very short one at that!

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?"
Cartman, it used to be a bobsled ride called Avalanche Run. Then it was enclosed in a building and turned into a coaster with one car at a time. It sort of feels like a bobsled in a way though.
Yeah ive seen old pictures of Avalanche Run, but I didnt realize that it was turned in to Disaster Transport.
Sure is, and it is still a good ride, despite not keeping up the themeing like they ought to. It is more neglected than a bad ride. As for the length, Power Tower isn't that long either, but people still ride it... Disaster Transport is 2 minutes, 32 seconds, but yes, a lot is the lift. Still a fun ride, if you know what you're getting into and aren't expecting something like Space Mountain or MF or something. It's different, for sure.

We bought a lifetime supply of pudding? How wasted were we last night?!
*Dude, Where's my car?*
Not unless youve got a little kid with you.
I would have to say Magnum, 2000 season, it hurt

Number 1 And Only Cedar Point.
I must be weird, but I don't think I rode a single ride (or saw one for that matter) that I didn't like. I just guess I can stand anywhere from having fun, getting dizzy (more in some cases than others...), getting a headache, or anything else; it makes no difference to me, I like it all.

Worst coaster? Mantis:The Coaster Formerly Known as Banshee. Why? Because since they put the safety belts on it, I can't ride it anymore.

The worst ride at Cedar Point has got to be the ride home after closing.... :(
