Working Part-Time Weekends Before and After the Su

I just realized that I am only 4 hours from the park when I'm at school, so I'm not sure if I could do part-time work before and/or after the summer season. I was just wondering where you stay on those nights? Do you stay in the dorms? and do you have to pay for them? for just those two nights? And also, do you get in enough hours for it to be worth it, while still allowing some time on Sunday to get back and do any homework for the following week? I could use the extra money, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it, and also just trying to figure out what it would entail. Thanks a lot...

Hey Michelle - yes, you could work weekends in Sept and Oct. I think at that time they move everybody to Commons, and from what I have heard, housing is free after labor day, but I don't know if they changed that or not. You could probably get as many hours as your heart desires on Bonus and Halloweekends, and most likely you would be doing open to closes each weekend. Which means that you probably would not have enough time on Sunday to make it back to school and do homework, unless you can manage to just work a morning shift that day. Talk to your department manager and find out what can be arranged :)

As for weekends before opening day, I think that you would be able to, but I don't think they let you stay in the dorms during preseason just on the weekends - but I could be wrong. Again, try to contact your manager and see.

Although personally, I don't think it would be worth it - four hours is a long way to go back and forth each weekend, especially if you are trying to juggle school as well. But if you can handle it, go ahead :)
