Hi everyone!
I got hired to work in games at geauga lake this year. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for working in games.
Thanks! *** Edited 5/31/2006 12:50:47 AM UTC by thevillain***
hey! I work at games in cedar point. Trust me days can get pretty hot so bring sun screen, a hat( you can buy that from wordrobe), and lots of water. The most important thing you need to remeber is your at one of cedar fairs parks. Enjoy yourself and have fun!(just think you will never see these people agian so just act nice and crazy! but not too crazy!) hope you have as much fun as I am having.
I worked Weight Guessing for a year at Geauga Lake. One of the best years I had working in the theme park business. While there I worked a few other games here and there but was mainly a guesser.

Well, it would be tough to do if you were blind.
Other than that, you need to have a VERY outgoing personality because you have to convince all those folks to play the game. Talk, talk, talk. There is a lot of talking.
After a week or two of doing it the job is pretty simple. One 145 lb person looks like another 145 lb person. The eyes tend to give away the ages. The birtdate is dumb luck unless there is a group of kids all laughing behind the player...then you know the player's birthday is today.
I got so good at it that I would guess wrong intentionally so that more people would play the game. If noone every won a prize then people wouldn't win. Even if I "lost", I won because the prizes were always cheeper than the cost to play.
