Working at Cedar Point for the Summer

OK... So I need your advice. I know you guys are the most knowledgeable on the net about my situation so I am hoping for a lot of replies and honesty...

I live in Western Mass right now. I want to work at Cedar Point this summer.... I am thinking in Games or at one of the hotels as a Front Desk person. I have experience in both places.

I would need housing down there obviously... Is it worth the hassle? Will I make money? Thanks so much for your help!

I am now reading a lot of the posts... Someone put in a good word for me with the Maverick Crew... I want to be part of the family!

Every crew is like its own family, you get to know your crew and spend a crap ton of time with them, even outside of work. I live in Texas right now and I'm headed back for my 2nd season. Last summer I made around $6,000 and it was pretty sweet. Defiantly worth it

6K Did you work a lot of O-C? Is housing as bad as everyone says?

Its worth it. Manage your money the right way and you can leave with a lot of it. O-C's are normal, but then again doesn't everybody come to CP to work? So that's exactly what you do. you're going to make a lot of friends. housing is as bad as you make it. actually..i really liked my dorm last season. got a long with my roommates, made it really homey...it was all good. just keep it clean and you won't have to worry about anything. not sure that you can technically "put in a good word" and have you become a part of a crew, just apply for ride host and see what happens. regardless of the ride, you'll have an awesome crew that will become your family.

plus housing comes out of your paycheck so you barely even notice that you are paying it.

I made over 6K and I work O-Cs at the beginning/end of the summer. You work well over 40 hours a week. Also, minimum wage went up this year.

I didn't work many OCs during the middle of the season, but at the end I did. Housing isn't that bad cause you don't actually spend that much time there lol chances are that after you get off work you just want to sleep or you go out for the night and only spend a few hours in your dorm
