Work Permit

Does anyone know the how Human Resources deals with Work Permits for employees under 18? CP says it needs to be enclosed in the packet, but I'm not sure if I'm supposed to fill out my section, and then they mail it back. I'm just kind of confused because the directions that CP gave weren't specific. Does anyone have any information, or what they did?

Call HR and ask them.. Chances are that most of the people on this site haven't had to deal with this issue.

I'm pretty sure you don't need one since you'll be graduated from HS correct? I didn't need to back in '02, something about it being out of state. Not sure, just call HR, they will be willing to answer any questions you may have.

Hey,

I have been a minor at cp for four seasons now.. i can tell you exactly what to do! The work permit that was enclosed into your contract is what you will use. Cp has more than likely already filled out there portion of the work permit. Now, you must schedule a phsyical, and your doctor must fill out the physician portion of the same work permit that cp sent you and say you are able to work. You must also fill out your portion also with all your data, info etc.... I am guessing that it is not finished yet, and it being so close to the season, I would not mail it in, rather just take it with you when you process in. And hopefully you have already sent back in your contract agreement. Just take the work permit completed with you when you process in, and that's it... lol

Srry, when that is all finished, you must hand that paper into your school, and get your principals signature on it. More than likely, the way that shcools do it now, they will type up a final copy of your work permit and give it back to you within a day... that is the copy y outake with you to cp when you process in.
