Work Hours???

Just a quick question to the Cedar Point employees:

If I were to work at Cedar Point next year, would I be expected to work everyday or would I be able to work 2-3 days a week?

You would have to make arrangements like that with the person who decided to hire you. I would mention the days/times you are available to work on your application, because for most jobs, they would be assuming you can work 6 days a week unless you say otherwise. I'm assuming you live in the Sandusky area and wouldn't be living in housing.

it all depends on your availability, whether you have another job, are takin summer classes...etc. for the most part like lee said, if your only committment is CP then you'll more than likely be workin 6 days a week. you'll prolly average about 50-65 hrs. a week.
There was a woman on my crew this year who was only contracted to work three days a week, and she could work more only if she wanted to. The only way you can get away with that is if you are not living in CP housing. If you do live in housing then you have to work as many hours as they want you to. You'd have to put on your application which specific days/hours you are available.

Personally, I didn't think it was fair that the locals were able to contract the same shift every day, while the rest of us would have to pick up all the slack in hours just because we came from farther away and stayed in housing. I know several people that moved to Sandusky and got their own place just so they could have a set shift. I loved living in housing, but just don't think it's fair we didn't have any say in scheduling. :(
