Well no wonder I couldn't connect -- I was trying to use CompuServe.
I'm going to send a complaint to 74268.9726@compuserve.com.
They said Ripcord will remain in it's current location. It will be kind of out place back there by itself. It was still intact on Saturday. Probably too late to disassemble and reassemble it in time for this season. Not only that, there is still ground work that needs to be done to move it. The rumor was that it will go in STR's place, but lots of that was still standing, I only saw the second lift gone.

I found it funny, at least during my presentation, as they were talking about the removal of skyscraper and challenge racing, then went to a picture of ripcord saying "And heres a picture of ripcord!" And moved on with just that

I think it would be fine if they kept the golf course in tact and where it is. I don't see a reason to remove it or relocate it. I think it's great having it so close to the hotel for guests that want to do something close by. Perhaps it could get some refurbishment but it definitely doesn't need to get removed. I think Ripcord will stay where it is for this season, but it may be relocated next season when the proposed water park expansion happens. The real question is are they still using the "Challenge Park" name for the two attractions remaining? Seems a bit extensive for just those two things.

As a secondary funny food note Tony had a pretty good side joke during his presentation that people are always clamoring for healthy food options, healthy food options, healthy food options. ( which is a great idea).
Pause pause pause " but then they go and eat elephant ears and funnel cakes" Got pretty good laugh.
Good joke, but to poke fun back in the other direction...
When Cedar Point's ideas for healthy food options include processed fruit in heavy syrup, about 5 pieces of hamburger lettuce in a bowl with a cherry tomato on top as a salad, and a Boca patty from a box on a plain bun as a veggie burger...is it any wonder why people are buying the elephant ears?
Cedar Fair has other parks, so they can draw on customer habits at parks not named Cedar Point as well. Some of the healthy choices they've offered include chicken wraps, grilled/char-broiled chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, salads with grilled chicken, fruit cups, fresh fruit and vegetables, granola bars, "healthy" chips (i.e. Sun Chips), and frozen yogurt.
It doesn't come as a surprise at all that the "more health food please" customer request is more talk than action. This isn't to say that those of you who've requested healthier choices aren't being genuine. But for the overwhelming majority of people, a visit to a park is a special occasion, where indulgence is part of the experience. There likely aren't many who visit frequently enough that such indulgence would have a noticeable impact on their waistline.

That's a very good point. When we only went to CP once or twice a year something we looked forward to was splurging on the vast quantities of fried deliciousness there. However, going a few dozen times a year means we can't and don't eat that type of food everytime. CP does have some other options but that usually means we have to go to several places to get what everyone in the family wants. No doubt were in the minority as I don't think most visitors to CP go there as much.
