Left Chicago at 5 Am and arrived at Cedar Point at 11:30 local time. Was very window conditions, and it appeared MF was not running, parking lot was very light in size, but when I arrived at the season pass processing center, I was greeted with an hour and twenty minute line. I had my friends go into the park while I went through this long process standing in the winds. Everyone in line doesn't understand why it takes so long, I agree, and then to get your name misspelled, this was very disappointing and they wouldn’t correct it unless I paid a $10 fee Once in the park, I confirmed that due to the winds Millennium force didn’t have a ride inspection and would not be opening at all that day, Raptor and Mean Streak and Gemini were also closed. The good news is Mantis and Wicked twister were open and Top Thrill Dragster they were trying very hard to keep open between the windy periods, and some problems getting the launches to work, but when we got in line after they were able to get the trains to go more then 66 mph, the 3 ½ hour line moved down to 2 ½ and I and my friends were on the ride, just AWESOME! It appears on launch watching it that it starts slower then after the pictures are taking it goes faster, I even felt this on the ride. Seems to have a 2nd stage. I never heard or read about this, but I found it very interesting as I thought it should be a smooth constant once it launches. The ride is smooth as glass J, and yes its worth the wait! As long as there no snags. Crew very friendly. Had some problems with the ride photo ordered two and one had some lines on it, so I had them reprint it, I guess they have 6 printers and one of them has been giving them trouble they said. Enjoyed the gift shop and theming, I would say the longest wait we had was about 45 minutes, and I don’t remember which ride that was, but 25-30 was very common, towards 6pm, things started to become walk on due to the weather starting to rain lightly. The great thing is this left more things to do in the park next time for my friends who are new to the park, they want to hit MF and Magnum and Raptor. Besides the wrong spelling and extremely inefficient season pass processing, I enjoyed the day at Cedar Point, and the parking lot was pretty empty, but due to the closed rides, lines for other rides were still reasonable.
They mispelled my last name wrong too, and the guy said I could bring it back and get if new one if it gave me any problems. No fee. I went on Friday 5/9 and there was literally NO ONE in line for season passes at 10:30. I must have gotten extremely lucky, because when we left at 6:30, the line was very long.
