Windseeker Testing

That's not entirely implausible. Depending on when they got power hooked up correctly or if there's some kind other means, they could very well have rotated it as some kind of test. But yea, we don't know for sure.

Literally just walking down the beach and Windseeker climbed the tower about 80 ft or so and stayed there. Couldn't get cam out in time for video but here's a pic of where it sits now.

Edit...it didn't spin.

There are 2 guys working at that height right now.

They're on both sides of the tower working around this area (took this pic yesterday while it was low).

They said the delay was not a matter of weeks but a matter of days. We are not at 1 week so we will see how that statement pans out. We saw how well the Will be ready by opening weekend statement went.

Well you guys missed it yesterday. It was spinning at that height of the tower. Very slow of course...But still it was spinning.

Shawn, this will be my first Coaster Mania as well! I hope and pray that WindSeeker will be operational for that weekend!

Those of us who are stuck at home today will see from the webcam that it's at the top of the tower on Saturday morning.

Was the ride actually spinning? Or was it just sitting at the top?

Wonderland's has just started testing at full speed. And rumors say it still may be another week or so till it's ready. There seems to be A LOT of preliminary testing before actual testing begins. And it seems the preliminary testing just started at CP. So if this is true, there's no hope for a Memorial Day or Coastermania opening. That's too bad, I'll be there for both events and it still won't be ready. :(

Though the ride DOES look awesome.......that's still something. :P

Yeah that is encouraging. I haven't been to KI, but all of the webcam testing images certainly look like the ride carriage is not yet spinning. If I had to place a bet, I would wager Wonderland's is the only one to open in May.

That's cool dude, what's your name by the way? I am hoping and praying for nice weather more! Since I"m requesting 2 days off from work, I want to see nice weather this time compared to opening weekend where it was foggy one day and then the next day rainy all day.

KI's has rotated very slowly, but only partially up the tower. Now they are performing some type of "test" where some of the arms are tethered to the tower for some reason. Very strange.

After being at KI this weekend, I can tell you they have all the arms teathered to each other to keep them from swinging while they work on the ride. It went up and down a few times yesterday.

The whole carriage went up halfway and the back down multiple times today before finally going to the top of the tower. No spinning was occurring.
