WindSeeker Closed

I wonder where they are going to put that beast, is it going to be near by, or trucked in?

I'm not familiar with the installation at CP, but at 

 Knotts they built an enclosure by the machinery 

control room. I would imagine that they would find some

place close as possible to store it.

Possibly behind the stadium. But, I'm not sure if there's enough room or not.

Carowinds has not got there's yet. Suppose to arrive in a couple of weeks per the crew at the front entrance today. Their Windseeker is still not operating.

Mondial: "Hey we hear you're looking for a really tall swing with no chains since you forgot that the lake is real, real windy"

Dick: "Wow, you read my mind"

Mondial: "Well yeah...and look here...we're in the swing business, and we just drew something up on a napkin that looks perfect for your park."

Dick: "Awesome! But we need it to be at least 300 feet tall."

Mondial: "..............oh................"

Dick:" Hello? Is that something you can do?"

Mondial: (muffled voice barely audible) Bill can we just make that one here only make it like 3 times as tall? OK...well yea (laughter)...that's what I told him....OK sure...(more laughter)

Dick: "Hello"

Mondial: "Hey yes, sir Dick, yes sorry about that...so 300...well just for you we're going to make it three hundred and one feet tall."

Dick: "I like the way you think."

Mondial: "I knew you would, sir."

Dick: "So, where can the good ol' boys and I check one of these babies out? Just tell us the time and the date."

Mondial: "Well...you see...the only ones we've built are...uh....invisible."

Dick: "Invisible? Just like Wonder Woman's airplane! That's amaz..."

Mondial: "No no, look, I have to be honest...we've actually never built one of these before. This will be a...well...a prototype."

Dick: "You mean you've never even built one? Son, who do you think I am? I run the world's roller coaster capital of the world! I built Top Thrill Dragster! I drive...I drive a Dodge Stratus! How dare you waste my time!!!"

Mondial: "I'm sorry sir...sorry to have wasted your time."

Dick: "Awe shucks kid I'm just kidding. We'll take it."

Mondial: "(in disbelief) Really?? I mean, (clears throat) Thank you sir. Did I mention it has real, real pretty lights?

Dick: "Does it have purple?"

Mondial: "Um, yes...there's purple. And green"

Dick: "Hell, kid, we'll take 5 of 'em. Yeeha!"

I cant wait for the call that took place when they were needing a way to get stranded riders down from 300, sorry, 301ft in the air! :)

The sad part is that is probably similar to the conversation they actually had. :)

I pictured Dick as Adam West in Family Guy while I read that.

They have the Winseeker seats up at the top of its tower right now.

Just the seats? That's weird. :-)

I was in Virginia this past weekend. I was at Kings Dominion opening day and on Easter Sunday. Windseeker there is still down. While walking through the queue for Hurler, I saw the pieces parts for their evac platform (some still wrapped up).

On Sunday, the remainder of the parts were unwrapped. So, maybe KD will be assembling theirs soon.

I would expect the flagship park to have Windseeker running on opening day. Odd how parks that opened sooner don't have their evac's built yet.

Looking at the cam now, Windseeker is seeking the wind!

I was at Carowinds this past weekend as well and they were not ready to open Windseeker as well. I would imagine that if Cedar Point opened this past weekend that it's Windseeker would not be ready yet either. However the later opening date should make it so it's ready in time.

Hopefully they will be ready.... I got this screen cap from the webcam before they took them down. Looks promising!

Anybody heard anything of whether or not Windseeker will be open still come opening day? I read something of CPrundown claiming they're not sure.

If Murphy's law teaches us anything, it will or will not open. ;)

The only thing we are sure of, is that Adam will ride TTD with Single Rider 2 for the first ride of the season! :)

Only if I have to. And if I do, I'll just drive back to my cabin for a shower. :)

Or he will stick me with stinky rider deuce like he did a couple years ago! :/
