Will we ever see the coaster count reach 20?

I am not so sure. While I think many new coasters will appear at the point they might replace some older coasters. I wonder how many coasters they could support before they face big problems like maintenece, prper staffing etc.

What would really be the point?

The point would be to be the best!

Honestly, here are things I would love to see at CP before another coaster:

-Better Food and/or lower prices for crappy food
-Dark Ride
-A new log ride (but a good water coaster instead would be just fine with me)
-Dark Ride
-New Ride at Soak City (Proslide Tornado, Proslide Toilet Bowl, NGBS Water Coaster, A slide complex like the one at GL, anything)
-Dark Ride
-Top Spin

CP already has 3 coasters I could ride all day (Raptor, MF, Magnum,) 2 coasters I enjoy a lot (TTD, Maverick) and two solid mid day must rides (Gemini, BS.) Its time to round out the park.

And to have the most variety of coasters. More things for people to do. We are really close right now. 17 I believe but do you really think we can fit 3 more in? I know THEY ARE NOT RUNNING OUT OF SPACE but not enough space for 3 more coasters. Some coasters that are there now will most likely get replaced. (Mean Streak, DT, CCMR) I really don't think they could find room for 20. Unless we used the parking lot, but thats a whole other covo.

It could be possible if we had an underground coaster??

Are they tearing down their old offices down after the new one is complete? That would free up some space. Another area would be the aquatic stadium if they ever decide to get rid of that. DT needs to be torn down and replaced.

I agree with TouchDown, other things need to come first befoe they build another coaster, they could even just repaint TTD or Millienium. The thing that I definattly think needs work is the quality of the food for the price, I mean $3.75 for a 20oz. pop come on.

@CoasterHQ

So.......... if you adjust the food price and touch up some paint then you can't build a new coaster in the same year? That doesn't make any sense...

There are a lot of place to build a new coaster, such as:
-On the island
-On the beach
-Using a small section of the SC lot

One idea that they could do is build a parking garage in the current Breakers lot and use that for Breakers and SC parking, then that opens up the entire SC lot. Also, coasters with footprints like Magnum can be put just about anywhere.

I think it is possible, but not for a long time.

Never say nerver.

I have never said nerver. Well, until just now.

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

Also I said better food and/or lowering pricing. If they want to charge me the same amount (or even a little higher) and I eat like Im at Busch Gardens Europe, Im all for that and my spending will sky rocket.

No.

Thats what I thought lol. The parking garage has been talked about to death and there is no way CP can spend that kind of money on a paring garage. And they are just ugly.

I think its possible if you find a place to put a Station you can tangle rides together so anything is possible...well not anything.

Now, c'mon! Why would anyone want to tear down Disaster Transport?? :)

I agree about a top spin, however. Or a nice water ride that does not soak you till drenched. How about a nice change to a certain boxed in ride up front:

1. remove the building around the ride

2. repaint the coaster after taking a power washer to it for a few days

3. rebuild the trough to hold water, get new types of cars that don't fish-tail when wet, and add water shooters that spray light water at you as you ride by. The ride can also use new theming that a water ride has.

Agreed with others that there are better uses of money at the Point besides another roller coaster. Forget infrastructure improvements. Even when it comes to attractions I'd like to see other things before another coaster.

No log flume?

No indoor ride?

Better in-park transportation.

Can they build 20? Sure. Is there space? Sure. As I've said 100 times...go check out Blackpool Pleasure Beach and their assortment of rides and then tell me Cedar Point has no space.

They could fit a coaster in if they removed one of the children's areas. There are 2 areas with duplicate rides. Not that this would be a huge coaster.

I'm going out to get some air.

I agree. Parking garages are so expensive.

Not all parking garages are ugly, they built one on campus here at Michigan State that actually looks like a typical building. At first glance, some people may not even realized it's one...
