will I be able to fit on Corkscrew and Mean Streak

I'm 5'6", 259 pds, 56 inch waist and I can fit on the Raptor, but I was wondering if I would be able to fit on the Corkscrew (since they have seatbelts now, I was wondering if that would be a problem). Also the trains look small on the Mean Streak and I'm in the process of losing weight right now, but still have a ways to go.

I'm not big in the shoulders, just my gut is pretty huge, other than that the rest of my body is average size.

Can someone tell me with these perportions if I would be able to fit? (I would hate to stand in line for a long time and find out that I can't fit).

I tried to squeeze onto the Mine Ride last year, I was too big in the middle, so I had to get off.

Mean Streak could be a really tight fit for you. I know that Blue Streak has some of the smallest seats in the park for a full size coaster, and the trains on Mean Streak are the same. If you've fit on Blue Streak, you should fit on Mean Streak. If not, then I doubt you would currently fit on Mean Streak.

I can't really say anything about Corkscrew, though.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

If you go up the exit of any ride that doesn't have a test seat, you can try to see if you fit before waiting in line.

Corkscrew is tough. There is a lot more room in the front seat so I'd try that, but usually tall people have more problems on the ride.

If you don't want to wait for the front seat of corkscrew, be sure to be at least in the front of a car. The back has no room for your knees, in the front, plenty of room to stick you knees out.

On Blue Streak, its a PTC train, the only problem is that its belt is ridiculously small, and on top of that the male end has a shorter then normal length which makes for a difficult buckle. Once you do that though its like any other PTC. Dont sit in a front row of a PTC because in the back rows there is clearance underneath the seat in front of you to stick your feet into.

I suppose you will have to just go and find out. Walk around the park enough and you'll fit on all the rides hehe.
I have in general seen some huge people get on rides though. I don't see why not, especially if you only keep trying to lose weight.

Good for you for trying to lose weight in order to fit into the rides, that's great. Work with the crews and they will work with you. As a coaster ride op we would let folks come up the exit and see if they could fit before waiting in line. When you go up the exit just calmly explain your situation to the person working on the unload station as soon as they have time. As long as you get a normal employee you should receive proper attention. Good luck and keep up the great attitude that will come with losing the weight.

I'm not really that tall so hieght isn't an issue. But I suppose I can just try it out and wait in line, I understand that the lines arn't very long for those two coasters.

I've never ridden the Blue Streak so I don't know if I will fit, I couldn't fit on the Mine Ride last year, so I doubt if Blue Streak would fit. I guess I'll try it out for myself though, if anything at all I'll be able to figure out what I can and can't ride.

Thank you for the encouragement of losing weight, I appreciate it. I've lost 10 pounds so far in 1 months time. I put myself on a strict diet and I excersize everyday. In time I'm sure to be able to fit on most anything if I continue in this manner. Thank you :)

lady, last year at the start of the season I could not fit on the Mine Ride, but I could on Blue Streak (got on the mine ride in the fall.) Dont write anything off as you not being able to ride it until you try it at least once.

Thanks Touchdown, no I'm not discouraged by the size of the Mine Ride (actually that's what is motivating me to lose weight, not just that, but most of the rides at Cedar Point).

I was extreamly close to be able to fit on it last year, just the lapbar wouldn't go down any further. Some rides might fit differently than that one, thanks for the advice though, I'm certainly going to do my best this summer :)

I was also wondering, everyone is saying that the Blue Streak seats are the smallest in the park. Would it be safe to say that the Mine Ride has the smallest? Or are you comparing the seatbelts?

I've also lost 11 pounds so far in a month and a half, I hope to at least get on the Mean Streak this year :)

Its really because of the seat dividers. Those make it harder for larger people to handle the seat belt.

Ah ok, thanks Blue. I've never ridden the Blue Streak before and it's been since the Mean Streak first opened when I rode that one.

2 years ago I was too scared to get on the Gemini, so I'm wanting to get on some more hard core stuff this year. Gemini is the most fun IMO.

I would recommend a sensible diet and joining the local YMCA. Then you can ride anything you want and live longer.

^Suffice it to say, I'm sure ladyjerrico has heard about diet and exercise. She didn't come on here to get warmed over Oprah tips, she had specific questions about specific rides.

I would say Mine Ride is the worst for tall people. I couldnt fit because I couldnt fit my legs in between our car and the car infront of us. Im 6' 2".

Did you try the old trick of crossing your legs? I'm 6'2" also, and it works for me.

Yes, Ensign, I did do that on the Mine Ride, I was so close to getting the lapbar to go down, but it was pushing too hard on my gut, so I got off of it last year.

The YMCA is 150 dollars a week and I just don't have that kind of money, I'm on a fixed income.

Also yes, I have been dieting and excersizing and lost 11 pounds so far in 1 1/2 months time. I'm not just doing it for the rides either, I want to feel better about myself (and I am) have more confidence, more energy and look like I did when I graduated high school in 1990.

By the time Cedar Point opens I should have at least another 10 pounds lost, hopefully it will be enough, but I'm going to continue to do this.. I want to reach my goal :)

$150 a week? That's one hell of an expensive Y. My membership is only $49 a month. Even with 2 adults and 2 children its only like $100 a month.

It doesn't say how much the Detroit one is, but I can't imagine it's approximately $650 a month. I don't even pay that kind of money for rent.

Does anyone in Michigan even have that amount of disposable income?
