Will Cedar Point still sell Aquafina?

Aquafina is clearly marked on the bottle that it is purified drinking water, not spring water or mineral water.

If you get the free water at a food stand, it is also run through a filter that is part of the soda fountain. Maybe not as highly filtered as Aquafina, but the water tastes good, it's free and you get ice cubes.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

hope you don't really think that Pepsi sells their products to cedar point at a regular price and thats the reason they make it so expensive.

You would be surprised to see how much the park makes off of each drink purchase.

I work for a company that has a national contract with Pepsi to sell only their products. Believe me I know they don't pay regular price. They probobly pay somewhere in the neihborhood of $.65- $.75 per bottle, depending on their contracts terms.

Sorry I guess I don't know how to work the quote button, or something. Can somebody give me a quick tutorial?

I was at the park this weekend and will attest that they still had a bountiful amount of bottled water.

^^Yeah you know they have to get that stuff pretty cheap. Anytime you buy in bulk, you get huge discounts and you know that Cedar Fair is buying in huge quantities.

So it boils down to this...

Are they making a killing off of it?? Yes..money in the bank.

Are people gonna stop buying it because it is expensive or not "spring water"? No...its too convenient, and its been pounded into our heads that it is "healthy".

So nothing is gonna change...CP will sell it (and more than likely the price will increase in the next few years) and people will STILL buy it. This will never change...just ask anyone who works at Starbucks if you don't believe me. (and BTW...expect their prices to go up soon too!)

Nick

why would they switch to that nasty coke crap. coke doesnt care about there machines, i worked for a restraunt when i lived in florida that has coke and one of the fountian pop levers was broke and hardly worked we call coke in orlando and they said we will get to it when we can. i told the manager tell them to come fix it other wise we will throw there crap machine out to the trash.

at least pepsi cares about the machines and fixes them when they brake.

^Usually it's not Coke or Pepsi that takes care of the machines. It's usually either a contractor or the vendors themselves who are in charge of making sure that the machines are stocked. As far as a fountain machine at a restaurant goes... I used to work at a TGI Friday's, and we washed and replaced the fountain levers every night, and if one broke we just bought a new one and replaced it. I don't think blaming coke is the answer to that problem.

Yesterday, they were handing out ice water before you even asked for it. At the little vendor thing under the sky ride, they had probably about 30 cups of water sitting on the counter for who ever wanted it. I will never buy a bottled water from CP, when I can just walk to a vendor and get it free.

I hate it when my machines brake. Especially my car. I wish it wouldn't brake so much.

I hate it when coasters brake. Especially Mean Streak, Magnum, and MAntis...

:)

Then you should have ridden Magnum earlier in the season.
