So, I just found out that I'll be working the Wildcat this year, my first at CP. I looked through and I didn't find any threads abotu the crew this year...so is anybody else on the boards working the ride? Also, is working a small coaster, like Wildcat, as much fun as working a bigger name coaster? *** Edited 2/15/2005 7:19:56 PM UTC by beltzies64***
It is a fun ride to work.
My favorite position on that ride is unload. It's about as manual as operation gets at CP. You have to push the cars and use a foot petal too.
This position can be rather intense depending on the weather conditions and how quickly the cars are being dispatched. You need to get the car to the unload brake before the next car hits a sensor before the last block. If the next car gets to that sensor first, the ride will setup. One time I nearly blacked out from pushing the car so hard because of how close the ride was to setting up. (It probably won't happen to you) Usually the dispatcher will cut you some slack Jack.
EE is right, the unload is the best position. It is the potential to screw up, that makes working the ride interesting. Don't look foward to controls much though, you sit there and watch the ride.

Hey all it's Terry and since I didn't realize I was coming back to cp until January I am a red tag this year contracted at Wildcat. I am looking forward to making this a kick ass crew, I was a TL this year so it'll be interesting to be a red tag again but let the fun begin.

Hey my name is Justin and I just found out today I'm going to be on this crew. Is this the only ride we do?
I'm a 3 year veteran/ refugee of Kennywood and I've never been to CP before so this should be interesting. I look forward to meeting the all of you.
