New adults-only event coming to Frontiertown in June. I’m not thrilled about this being the same day as CoasterMania on the 3rd. It explains why the SV/Maverick ERT is in the morning, but then what if those end up being unavailable due to weather or maintenance? This makes it so they can’t change it to the evening.
As for the event itself, $100 for 3 hours of unlimited rides in those two coasters seems like a decent deal, depending on how many tickets they’re allotting. It’s a bit cheaper than a FLP+ and park admission isn’t required.
It may be a deal for a non-passholder. Though considering it doesn't include food or drinks (at the base price), I question even that. I wonder if the Live E will me more than just the standard Cedar Point entertainment department. I hope it sells out. I look forward to the dividends. :-)

Well that's definitely new for them.
It reads to me like The Frontier Town Nightclub at Cedar Point. I could see a group of people that would be interested and it benefiting the park. I imagine this is their trial run of it to see how much interest there is and how it goes?
Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

As someone rarely bothered by these things, it does seem weird and a recipe for unhappy attendees that this event is taking place the same night as Coastermania. I get that you want to utilize as many summer Friday 8pm park closes as you can, especially since there aren't many to begin with. But overlapping Coastermania with this event, having the Coastermania ERT end significantly earlier, and having the two most popular rides in the park unavailable for evening ERT sessions because of another event just screams like a customer service headache that was easily avoidable.
Glad they're trying new stuff. The ride time is probably the part I'm least interested in even though I miss the passholder ride nights.
This is scheduled before the parade/night show starts, so I'd guess it'll be the same performers from the live entertainment day shows plus the bands in residence. I don't see anything from them specific to this event, but I didn't look all that hard. Wonder if it's the same lasso/whip show guy from the past seasons (don't remember his name).
Food options look interesting, maybe a little standard. Still missing the passholder discount, for this and frontier fest. Guess there's less reason to include bonus free/discounted stuff when it seems like plenty of people are willing to pay full price.
Seems like a cool event, but I don't think I could justify dropping $100 for it especially if food and drinks aren't included.

It's all about the $$$ anymore not customer service, they don't care what we want it's all about making coin, and we pay for it we support it. I don't like it, but it is what it is I guess. It's not what it used to be in my eyes. Used to love going on slow days so I could ride, ride, ride, but what do they do now, take a train off and make you still wait so one can't ride a certain ride over and over and over. And not that their adding more and more food choices which most can't afford to pay for when at the park, confirms my above statement, it's all about getting as much $$ out of you as they can. Seriously, $14 for a six piece chicken tender at Chick Fila when you can get the same at any normal Chick Fila for half that, come on. Do what I do and just don't support it. I go to CP to ride and that's it. I will not eat in the park, that's the way to send a message.
They don't care if the park is over capacity, they got you there and are banking on you spending $$$ while not riding.
Just my opinion. It be what it be......I still love CP, always will.
It sounds like fun to me. Personally, I don't think I'd drop a C-note on it, but maybe $50. I hope they do well.

You’re in the minority. Rides are clearly the big draw, but most guests and families want a well-rounded experience. Events like the Frontier Festival have proven to be extremely popular.
As someone who routinely visits Epcot for the festival food and beverage, I'd pay even more than what they're charging. I'm only sad that they're not doing this in May when I'll be there. Hey Tony, rehearsal when I visit? 🙂

I find your lack of vision disturbing. These sorts of things are rich in customer engagement, just not as much for rides as you'd like. This is a chance for their culinary staff to shine, and their operations people to be focused on a smaller group of people. I live for this kind of thing. This is for the "benefit oriented" customers that Ouimet talked about years ago.

Imagine that. A business trying to make money.
This event sounds pretty cool, but you have to admit the overlap with Coastermania is weird. Coastermania has had night ERT until midnight or after for how many years? Since the 90's? Having ERT end at 10:30pm doesn't surprise me, but having another park event with later ERT is just weird.
Given a choice between the two, I'd rather go to Wild Frontier Nights. Does that mean I should turn in my coaster enthusiast membership card?
(I also admit that I'd much rather ride Steel Vengeance at 9pm than at 8:30am.)

This sounds absolutely awesome, and I'm a bit bummed it won't be going on during our week stay the beginning of August. Honestly, when I told my gf about it, she seriously considered us maybe making an overnight trip just for this event, since we are passholders and only about 3 hours away. I think it's a step in the right direction for CP to engage the older crowd a bit more and hope it goes well and leads to more adults only events!
This is one of the best ideas the park has had in some time. Unfortunately (well, or fortunately) we will be out at Knott's that week, or we would absolutely be there.

I know it’s “adults only” but I feel like it’ll still just be slightly over 18 rowdy teens

You have to be 21 + to attend. And the fact that some posters here are seeing the price as too high is exactly the point. This event isn't about marathoning coasters, and it's not about getting wasted (and, subsequently rowdy). It's about enjoying the park in a rare, exclusive way.
In the universe of $99 season passes, it's nice to see the park actually doing something that represents their worth/potential.

I agree they priced this high on purpose to attract 'luxury' buyers and test the waters. It's hard to judge the park's value when you can get these 3 hours, 3 day tickets, or the entire season for nearly the same price. I wonder what this event actually costs CP and if it was prohibitive to include it at at the scale of the other events, or if they just held it back so they could charge more for it.
Personally I'm still considering it, wonder how long it'll take to sell out. A discount or bogo offer would make the decision easier, and seems like it would fit into the passperks program much better than the last sams club/groupon thing they sent.
