The section of track where they take on and off cars for WT doesn't have a motor on it. The section is removable and so are the rail.
So was there any progress with Wicked Twister the last two days? Did anyone notice maintenance working in the station?
Was there today and no progress has been made, still scaffolding up and disconnected train. I did see one car coming into the park on a flatbed truck last night while I was there to process my season pass. The car that was on the flatbed looked a little different though, stripped down almost.
I was in the park today as well... One thing I saw made me curious...
The over-the-shoulder restraint has been removed from the tester seat by the entrance.
What purpose would they have for disassembling that?
Is it possible that Wicked Twister is being outfitted with new restraints?
Please let that be true! I barely fit in them as it is. I even walk of shamed because they wouldn't close once. If that's true, then I can forgive them for the ride not being ready.

Something is definitely going on with it, like I said, the car I saw looked stripped down but I couldn't get a good look at it as we were driving by it.
Has it occurred to anyone else that...
a) There may be some connection between the missing trains on Wicked Twister and Millennium Force (besides the fact that they are both yellow)
b) Cedar Point has a pretty good idea how long it takes to strip down and rebuild a coaster train, and probably built ample time into the off-season maintenance schedule
c) Just maybe there were factors involved with both projects which were beyond the park's control
Just an educated guess. The unreadiness of a couple of coasters seems a bit out of character for Cedar Point. I expect things to break or to not work right. I don't expect trains to be missing unless something went very unexpectedly wrong.

I don't think 3 cars would already be on the track if they were getting new restraints. The seats are missing on one of the cars sitting on the ground underneath the track. There are a boat load of seats inside WTs electrical room, and they're not hard to put on the train.
I don't understand people who say they like rides that they haven't been on yet. Makes no sense. But anyway, I did notice how interesting it was that windseeker still had 36 more test runs to do before it opened when we walked up to the ride crew to ask about it on sunday.
They finally made a note on their website
NOTE: Wicked Twister is currently closed. At this time, we do not have an estimated opening date.

This is beyond ridiculous. There were issues with it on closing weekend last year, and they still haven't fixed it in the entire offseason. Hopefully the ride being on the track means it's ready to test soon, but if they just added that note on the website, it may be a while. Good thing Intamin is not in the parks future anymore.

I love how people on here glorify Intamin and then when the ride breaks down, they talk crap about it.
SV ruins all other rides.
Intamin's rides are fun, but their reliability and uptime is terrible. I think MF, TTD WT, and Maverick would be just as fun, if not even better if they were made by someone else. I wouldn't miss Intamin if they went under. I rarely ever see Gatekeeper and Raptor down.

Oh my god I want to cry.
Obviously someone wasn't around for Raptor's opening year(s) - that ride was always breaking down, every time I was at the point, I can remember it down for something or another.
Obviously, it's been over 20 years now - so they've got the bugs worked out.
As opposed to 13 years? ;)
If they announced Wicked Twister wasn't going to open at all this year, would that make some of you more or less angry about it?

No ride should be down for an extended amount of time. But it's a ****amin ride, so I'm not really surprised. This isn't the first time WT went down for an extended amount of time and I'm sure it won't be the last.
