Why Sunday May 5th, and not Saturday May 4th?

Does anyone know why the park is opening on a Sunday, as opposed to a Saturday? I figure that CP would want to open on a day that many people would come. Or do they not want to have a crush of people, and break everything in for the new year? Just wondering.

Longaberger buys out the "first day" of the season every year. This year it's May 4th. You can see this if you click on May 4th in the season schedule on cedarpoint.com.

Here's a better question:

Why not Monday May 6th through Thursday May 9th?

Last year they were open daily starting with opening day, why not this year?

Not just any baskets. These things are expensive baskets. While their home office is in Newark, the family is from Dresden and that is where their manufacturing campus and tourist attractions are. Yes, Dresden is a tourist attraction. Bus loads of people roll through there every day.

I think because they had very low attendance last year during that week, and possibly not enough staff. Also I think I remember hearing some stories about some local school districts getting upset becuase to many students were skipping school. I don't beleive the school district complaint reason, Since CP is a business with a right to open when they want to.

I think the big reason is CP didn't make enough money or attendance during that initial week to think about opening during the first week this year.

Well, long time no post, here. Longaberger is a cult. :) My g/f's mom works for Longaberger as a dealer in Cleveland. Anywho, I was hoping to get tickets for Longaberger day, but 1) it's only for Dresden employees, no further through the company than that, 2) my cousin who USED to work at the factory no longer does, and isn't able to get me tickets, and finally, and worst of all ;) 3) my g/f is a high school teacher and we have to go to prom on the 4th. Jo, I'll be a lot of fun, though, don't you worry. :)

Thats a Nice site Hooper.

$40 for the standard bread basket. The "S Class" bread basket is over $100. I think I will pass. The cheapest one I could find was the business card basket for $28 which is a whopping 5"x3"x2" in volume

My question
Who in their right mind would pay $100 for a bread basket?

How much for the Corporat headquarter building? That's a cool basket. Drove past it a few times last year.
