Michigan's Adventure is putting one in. Its built by Proslides. Basically its an innertube ride (the tubes are shaped like 4 leaf clovers) that runs down a traditional waterslide tube to build up speed before opening into a giant funnel, where you go sliding way up the sides of the funnel a couple times before exiting down the bottom of the funnel.
There used to be a video up on the MA website, but it's not there anymore. It looks like it'll be a pretty decent ride. Whether or not CP NEEDS one is a different story though.

Did MiA cancel the Tornado slide or was it the future expansion plans along with the campground?

As far as I know, construction is under way. The future plans for a campground, hotel and (hopefully) a hyper were postponed. I think there is still a possibility it will happen because it sounds like the townships have finally made some progress on the water/sewer issue. So if they can get the worker requirement of the loan/grant they got from the state pushed back so that it could actually be met, there is still a chance they will make improvements.
I'll take some pictures in March when I go for my season pass.

Tazmanian Typhoon at Boomerang Bay is a Tornado Slide.

I wouldn’t want to see Soak City with a Proslide Tornado. Six Flags Inc. is making those out to be the next Boomerang, pretty soon every water park in America will have one. I would much rather want see Soak City make better use of their space with something more rare.

There was a time when I couldn't fathom CP hitching onto the latest bandwagon, but those times have been beat to death by the past few years. How is it that an "industry-leading" park is a follower when it comes to park attractions?
Would people stop going to Soak City if they DIDN'T get a Tornado? Would you rather see a Tornado or a completely new, original attraction?
Any similarity in name is purely coincidental.

You’re totally missing the point, I would much rather want to see Soak City, which isn’t as qualified as “industry-leading” as Cedar Point would be, getting something more unique. With a ProSlide Tornado heading to Geauga Lake and maybe even Michigan Adventure, I feel Soak City should invest their land in something different.

Personally, I'd love a Tornado at soak city. After riding the one at Holiday World, I think they are a total blast.
I also wouldn't mind seeing some speed/racing slides.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead
I think you're misunderstanding me, Charlie Brown. I'm with you all the way. I think you and I were writing at the same time. I wasn't replying to your post, just to the topic in general.
But I do believe that if CP's new major attraction of the year is an addition to Soak City (as it has in the past), then it should be just as new and original as anything they put in the amusement park... in which case a Tornado would be fine!
No Tornado!

It's not a maybe, there is one for sure being installed at MA

JuggaLotus is right. I'd love to see how that thing would run in the winter, with a coat of ice...
Wouldn't it be something if summer waterparks could become winter iceparks?
Ooops, I probably just gave away 10 billion dollars.
MrScott, sitting here waiting for May.

Unfortunatly MIA's will not have a conveyor belt like Geauga Lake's will and many of the Tornado's around the country do.
