Why not a CP Xcelertor?

I didn't say I was without strategy.  I grew up in Detroit..I've got strategy up to here!

My longest MF wait ever was an hour-and-a-half--and that's because I was negotiating a front-seat ride in 2000 (and got it).

After sticking to certain single-digit highways (even thru Sandusky--despite the signs attempting to lure me to 250)I'll probably cross CP's front gates on an early weekday in June....always good when the busloads of kiddies go home.  Labor Day's always dead, too--but the 'Midget starts kindergarten this autumn, which rules that out.
I wasn't speaking for me....just every other poor typical Joe Sixpack who'll show up wantin' to ride 'the new one.'  And to my recollection, even crap like Avalanche Run and Draggin' Iron drew lines in their premiers...

The bigger capacity issue people often overlook is the total capacity of the park, and there are few parks that have the capacity that CP has as a whole.

Besides, CP already HAS an Xcelerator with 6X the track length and 10 miles an hour faster called Millennium Force.  Knott's Xcelerator would offer pretty much a mini version of the same ride, minus the launch of course. What would be the point?
Hey... I was disappointed in Xcelerator's length, so don't be all that jealous!

True....but I've gone to CP on 'dead' days where I've parked 3-4 rows from the gate, but the lunchtime (midday-early evening) lines to the popular attractions were still an hour-plus long.

Worse yet, the 'Midget keeps growing taller.  If she gets too close to 48", I'll lose my excuse to jump on a dozen spin-and-spues while I 'wait'.  Poor, poor tall people...

I like the idea of Knott's having a ride that is diffenent from other CF Parks.
I'd like to see Knotts transfer their Boomerang to either VF or MA. Replace Boom w/ a ArrowBATic.
Besides CP doesn't need Xcelerator. They need a 4D or launch 4D.
My whole argument about Xcelerator was capacity more than anything else...I think 'stalling and falling' on WT will be more thrilling than Xcelerator's launch.

But I certainly WILL take KBF's Boomerang @ VF anyday. Can you believe the only looping coaster is a near-clone of CP's Corkscew?

Maybe CP wanted to do somthig different

Excuse me, where is the 10:00 Laser Show Presented by FirstEnegry??

Yeah that's right! CP wanted to do something different, that turns out to me almost the same as another ride "up the street"....

Wait! How was that different again?

Yeah, but now I don't have to go up the street to ride. Right?

It's very hard to drink all day...
Unless you start first thing in the morning.

Right!

Just thought I'd bring this one back up... Had some fun reading through it again, considering how much things have changed between then and now. :)

I'd Rather Be Riding Roller Coasters

I think it is kinda funny...we thought it was gonna be a rocket coaster before, and we got an Impulse. Maybe they were reading and got the idea for this season ;)

Parking: $8
Park Admission: $42
Elephant Ear and a Pop: $7

Riding the Greatest Coasters in The World: Priceless

i think they just wanted to test a similar ride first at knotts before putting it in at cedar point...

Hey guys, you're talking about X-cellerator, what do you think the new ride is? BIG word on the street is that the new ride is a jumbo X-cellerator the footers, and limited space seem to re-inforce the idea as well. Hey it's just my knowledge and opinion, no matt bashing please.
