Heeee heee heee heee. Get a load of this guy. Signed up just to twist and moan about his local parks.
You know, two years ago I woulda said something like "Yeah, right--they''ll 'own all' right up 'till a big quake hits, the whole state sinks into the ocean and only sea horses will visit the parks" but I won't do that. I feel bad enough for this guy.
Think about it--he's already 0-1 after losing a screaming match with his television set during Top Ten coasters or some other CP-heavy special. Then he'll inevitably watch it on tape and go 0-2. There's no shutting that announcer up. Little creep...always gets the last word, doesn't he?
Not that he's any higher on the food chain than these dopey CP fanboys who get their panties in a twist just because some other park gets some good press. What--nobody else can 'have it all?' If I told you CP was not my favorite park, what would that make me? What if I told you it wasn't even my favorite CF park? Or if I told you MF wasn't my favorite coaster, my favorite steel, or even my favorite drop? Does that mean I hate it or something? I don't enjoy it? I shouldn't post on this forum?
I think you should all go heat up some leftovers or something.

When I went to Cedar Point my 5 year old sister was charged for an adult ticket, and when we asked customer service about it, they said they wouldn't refund us because then they would have to let all 5 year olds in for the kids price. (Aren't 5 year olds kids?)
At CP there was trash everywhere
Ride Ops were unfriendly and rude.
Food was terrible.
Rides felt like repeats.
At Six Flags however, I get in for kids price (with coupns), there are 15 roller coasters, I would say 10 really good ones, I can count 5 at CP. People are friendly. Lines go quick, its better weather (doesn't always feel like its about to rain.), and its open all year long.
These are my reasons, please tell me why you guys think CP is better, I don't mind, and I want to know. Also KBF has the best atmosphere out of any park I have been to.
Why don't you go to http://www.beef.org to debate that pork is a much better meal choice?
I believe you knew what forum you were signing on. Whether or not you chose to read the Terms of Service, these forums are moderated to eliminate frivolous wastes of time. Whether or not you think so, you have yet to submit a worthwhile post.
After your account is nuked, we'll still go on discussing the world's tallest, fastest coaster. We'll still go on enjoying CP and no one will ever remember you were here.
What you choose to do is up to you.

And I've never been to SFMM, but I've been to Great Adventure, Texas, Fiesta, Atlanta, Kentucky Kingdom, and America and Six Flags doesn't hold a candle to CP. Of course, I'm speaking from a non-ride standpoint here because I obviously haven't ridden the SFMM rides, but SF in general have little to no theming, horrible staff, rude security people at EVERY main gate to any SF I've been to, and they put all their $$$ into rc's, leaving no other good rides, save maybe a carousel or rocking boat. Unlike CP which houses the most diverse arsenal of rides I've ever experienced and has some beautiful midways (particularly under Corkscrew) which are much better than the sketchy carny games that litter SF walkways.
Oh and 'Playa...yes, props on several good lines you had, particularly about leftovers. Ha! Hillarious. Kudos to, and long live, the Point!
I have been going to CP my whole life. It was (and still is) a huge interest in my life. I'm a huge CF fan. But, that doesn't make me dislike SF my any means.
CP has fantastic rides. I love the atmosphere. It has a comfortable feel...even on busy days you can go down Frontier Trail and have some quiet time. I can't even count how many times I've entered the beach by Oceana and walked back to Magnum just for the quiet time and walk. It's a park that makes you want to go back over and over.
I really feel that SF parks have huge potential. They have some great rides! I've been to a few of the parks and did what I could to have a good time. If they replace their management and hire better park staff they'll do themselves the biggest favor ever. Park planners need to better organize layouts of parks. They need to hire more (or better) maintenance. They need to hire more (or better) security. They need to hire better ride ops. And the staff REALLY needs to drop the attitude. It all comes down to who they hire to work their parks.
I'd love to fly out to SFMM and go on those rides (the ones that are working). But, from the experiences I've had already I really don't want to spent the time and money to go and be disappointed. Hopefully SF works out their problems. =)
As far as the announcement. I'm sure that they have their reasons for waiting. And I'm sure that they have a date decided to announce. I really don't see the need to freak out about when it will happen. They'll end up saying the exact same thing regardless of when it is said. =)
