If I am at the park during the weekend and it is looking like the park will be very crowded....I do Joe Cool ERT and then go back to Breakwater (generally walk) for the breakfast buffet.. I have always had exceptional service. Although one time for dinner was not a great experience, I take the many positives over the one negative.
They do have an awesome breakfast buffet though.
Cedar Point, Americas rip- rockin', high flyin', sky defyin', record breakin' roller coast
Breakwater Cafe is out of the way, and it is hardly promoted at all in the park. I knew they did a breakfast buffet back there, but I haven't eaten there in years, and I know nothing about what they have for lunch or dinner.
Sounds like at the moment it is the best-kept secret on the peninsula!

Count us as fans, too.
The breakfast buffet there is much more pleasant than the one in the Breakers coffee shop. It's mostly the same food, but *much* better decor/atmosphere, less crowded/shorter wait for a table, and much cheaper with the JC discount. We've been known go there for breakfast even if we're staying at Breakers, and that's even without the JC discount.
It's also a great place to get a drink during the heat of the day when the parks are zoos, though it's almost too quiet. As I recall, the drink prices are very reasonable, as well. I'll often pop in there when some of the family members are napping in a LHP cabin.

If you stay in LHP, are you going to drive to the gate?
I did ;) but only because I wanted to make Raptor ERT... And it also turned out to be a good thing because when the storms came upon us, we were able to get out of the park and a car was waiting for us. Less distance to walk in potentially dangerous situation.
I ate brekfast there once and it was gross. I think the buffet was sitting out too long. I would rather spend an extra couple of bucks and go to TGIFridays.
