i notice it costs more than most other parks im talking as far as admission goes... why is that??
Costs more than most parks? What other parks have you checked prices for?
Cedar Point = $42.95
Hersheypark = $47.95
SF Great Adventure = $39.99 online, or $49.99 at the gate
Holiday World = $39.95
Busch Gardens Europe = $56.95
If anything, Cedar Point admission is under priced for all they have to offer compared to other parks.
Plus if anyone pays full price for admission, they haven't done theirhomework. There are plenty of discounts out there. Cedar Point hasall kinds of admission specials going on throughout the summer.
Of all the things you can complain about being overpriced at Cedar Point, the gate price is not one of them. On top of that, there are so many discounts readily available, no one should be paying $42.95 anyway.
Six Flags does have some deals going on which makes tickets $25 for a few parks.
CP does have a discount going on, but you do have to find the discount. I am sure there are tons of travelers who do not know about discount tickets and simply show up and buy $43 tickets and than $27 or whatever for the water park two days in a row.
I am not sure whats up with Orlando but Busch and Walt Disney had some really nice deals going on as well. Not as cheap as CP, but for how they are normally priced they were a deal.
No matter where we go on vacation, we always look for deals. It is easy to do a little bit of research, and buy tickets on line or at Meijer. You could also use Pepsi can discounts. Even if people don't know about these deals, they can easily find out about it if they look for it.
"You wanna, you gotta, you hafta hold on, Cedar Point...HOLD ON!"
Six Flags has $15 parking.
Yes drinks cost $3+ at the point, unless you ask for a cup of water. Yes it costs $5 for your cheapest "meal" (hot dog / chips). Or about $11-12 for something a little nicer like Panda Express. Or $13-15 for TGI Fridays
But those fees are very reasonable. If you want a cheaper buffet option. $6.99 for just the buffet (no soda) at East of Chicago pizza down the road.
Although you basically come in at Midway Market pricing once you add a pop and figure the inconvenience.
