Why I hate premier.

Temperature is often important to the operation of a coaster. Ever watch Gemini trying to start up on a cold day? Just watch the train crawl around the first turnaround...

Yes, Jeff, you are correct that wind and temperature are two different phenomena, but you said yourself..."Still, I've never heard of a B&M that didn't have enough stored energy to go forever in any conditions..." In any conidtions. Wind is a condition. I rest my case.

BTW, hey Shivering Tim, it's me, Joe. :)

I am NOT getting in on this little "discussion" only because I'm not letting "Nor Easter" say something negative....never mind--
this site is for lovers/freaks/nuts of Cedar Point-hello?? IT is called 'GUIDE TO THE POINT" So of course NO one here is going to tolerate CP bashers....I LOVE CP-I am tried and true-if I find a park I like better I will say-but there are tons of parks out there I have not been to--for now-it is CP or NOTHING..but seriousely-Nor Easter asked a simple question of what amusement park has resonable prices for food??
KENNYWOOD!!! Cheap and YUMMY too!!
(but it still AINT no CP) and the Thunderbolt the greatest coaster in the world? LOL --------
Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
Another thought on GL's safety... When Serial Thriller opened up didn't they have to close it for a few day because some bolts were loose or falling out? This is something that CP has trained people working on over night to look for during maintenance. Obviously GL's Maintenance is not doing their job or they would have caught this before it happened.

At the dawn of the new millennium they all bowed down to CP realizing they lost the war.
Servo, when have you been to SFGA last? Everytime I have went they have raced the Eagle! Maybe you had bad luck on the day you went, but dont say they dont ever race it, cause they have when I have gone. :) Oh and shivering, good facts there!! Thank you!

Likes her coasters like her men, fast and furious! *** This post was edit by tohot2se on 12/10/99. ***
Actually, a certin other SLC was having problem with stress fractures so every Premier SLC was closed for a day or two, and then every afternoon for an hour just to check up on things. The ride was fine but it was just a percutionary measure.
They said ST was getting new parts that must be changed on every coaster every so often. They must be sent from the company. For the ride just opening they shure where not prepared

Hey DaBull, Raptor has rolled back atleast once that I know of, the last time magnum rolled back was in '97, an operator sent an empty train with the trims on. I know that CCMR and Mean Streak have rolled back this past year, and Gemini does a few times a season as well.

I was on my first rollback this year at Kings Dominion on Volcano. It was my first launch and and I was sitting in the front seat. IT WAS AWESOME.
