Why does the park keep 3 driving attractions?

I will say this much about the car rides; the Turnpike cars are the hardest for an adult to fit into, and as a result, the least comfortable. I had to use all of the available leg room to stretch out when I decided to take them for a spin, and my legs were constantly cramping up. I don't find that to be a problem on the Cads or Antiques. I think I like the Turnpike route the best, but I agree they will probably be the first ones to leave.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

They should sell the turnpike cars to a foreign company. (Anyone hear keep up with current events?) I hear Indiana had great success.

Really, I'd hate to see any of the three car rides go. As was mentioned earlier, those are rides the entire family literally CAN enjoy together. Who cares if they are the "same" experience. You can make that argument with some of the rollercoasters as well.

^ Actually, I feel the coasters have a different feel experience to each of them, as opposed to the cars. And trust me, I want the park to include MORE family rides in their offering. I just wish it was more diverse that's all.

But I respect your right to feel differently. :)

I thought cadillac cars and the turnpike cars were more intersting when they interacted more before raptor was built.

Raptor fits right in between both Turpikes and Cadillac Cars' tracks. CP's planning did an excellent job in building Raptor around those rides.

They did do an excellent job integrating Raptor with the area, however it came at the expense of quite a bit of the Turnpike Cars. Here's a 1992 park map showing how much more there was to the Turnpike Cars.

I'm a little younger, but I recall a second bridge and I think the ride was two separate tracks. When Raptor was built, part of one of the tracks was removed and merged with the other to make one complete circuit. I remember more interaction between the Cadillac cars and Turnpike cars before Raptor was built like Spit said above me. I also remember the building where you waited, it looked like a giant jungle gym with a tarp over it.

Still, I agree with you, I think they did a neat job integrating the ride with the area.

And now they have two mine rides, too (CCMR and Maverick).

Does Maverick offer everything that CCMR does? I've only been able to ride Maverick once, and I thought it to be a good replacement for CCMR.

If a removal is in the cards, I wish CCMR would have been removed in the first place rather than WWL.

Maybe I missed something, but how does Maverick qualify as a mine ride? Because the trains are "themed" to the Old West?

Nah, you probably didn't miss anything at all.

The recent article "What goes around comes around" alludes to it, and I think there is a lot of CCMR "feel" to Maverick. Actually, I consider Maverick more of a "mine ride" than CCMR...

Travelling close to the terrain gives riders a faster-than-actual-speed, runaway train experience. Superficial similarities: two lifts/launches, water elements, low height, theming. It seems that the rider experience drove the design of the layout, rather than the layout (tallest, most loops) driving the rider experience.

I am glad that they have the car rides. They are a good family attraction.
