Who is Excited for Season 2017?

Mixed feelings for me. It's the first year in 8 or 9 years that our family chose not to renew platinum passes. So other than a possible HW trip for Pointfest, we probably won't visit the park. Which is going to feel very weird.

Hoping my back heals up so I can ride coasters next year. You don't realize how much you appreciate some things until they are taken from you.

^ For sure. When I developed heart problems I was paranoid I wasn't going to be able to ride anymore but after loads of testing my electrophysiologist is cool with it and says to do whatever I want. That's when I decided it was time to get passes again instead of the once a year trips we had been taking since having kids.

Ohio State day was terrible today but tomorrow is looking up for opening day. Gonna be cold of course but nothing too ridiculous

Pretty surprised that the park is only open until 8 tonight... especially for a Saturday and opening day. I thought they were always open until 10...

From the webcams it appears closing early is a good idea today.

Friend of mine texted from the park a couple hours ago said the weather was nice and waits were all 30 minutes or under. Slight possibility I may get there tomorrow but not sure.

I'm not sure I would call it nice but at least it's not raining. It's cloudy, cool and breezy. Weather is great if it were Halloweekends. Not what I want in May. I've seen much busier opening days but good considering the weather the last few days.

At Surf Lounge, the weather is nice at the bar.

Pete, you and I are of the same mindset. The weather was also great at the Thirsty Pony and maybe not as great for my last beer in the tent at the KOA. Looking forward to a great season!
