Very excited. Last season was our first and despite about 9 visits we still felt rushed to take it all in.
Looking forward to a more relaxed season and trying trying to explore and appreciate more of the finer details of the park.
The new slides, early last years change in rash guard policy and paper cup drink plan are great improvements.
On the fence about this weekend however, we can handle the temps, but the breezy forecast is not looking good at the moment.
I'm planning to go Saturday, but the forecast looks awful. Not only is there rain, but throw in chilly temps and a breeze and it can make a pretty unpleasant day there. Plus there's no shows going on this early in the season to wait out the rain.

This will be the first opening day I won't be able to attend. I can't wait to read trip reports and see lots of pictures though!
I'll be there Saturday. Probability of TTC (Cubster) rolling back is as high as... well, that coaster. Which is to say, super high.

Though the probability of TTC leaving the station is as low as...the average cost of a meal on my dining plan. Which is to say, very, very low. ;)
The weather for this weekend is starting to look better. All those still cool, Saturday is showing only a few showers and Sunday is showing to have bright sunshine.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I spent all day yesterday at the marina and the park was in full training mode. It looked like all the rides were going, the LE&CP Railroad was running, coasters were making test runs and Sky Ride was doing its thing. It was fun to just sit back and watch and listen to everything going on. Really looking forward to getting back in the park for the season.

Hate to disagree about TTC, but if it's raining at all, that ride won't open at all. Even if someone sneezes on the loading or unloading platform, the ride shuts down. I used to work in rides so I know.

Yes, we see.
I don't think anyone here said the ride would run in the rain.
I wasn't being mean, I was just saying. Sorry if you took it that way.

I was planning to go Sat. The temp doesn't hurt me at all. The rain will stop, but the Wind will Not Slow Down all day. I will go on Sunday. I will go to church on Sat now. There is nothing wrong with that. I am only 30m from Cedar Point, and I will be fine.
It's looking like I won't be going this weekend. My kids are camping which takes out Sunday because I have to be home whenever they get home and Saturday looks cool and wet and my husband just isn't one for cool temps so I'll probably make next weekend. If it was only me I'd just put on the thermal socks and a hoodie or two under the denim jacket and go for it.
They raised the high to 55 and lowered the chance of rain to 50% for afternoon showers. The winds don't look too bad. 10-20. Today is looking horrible for OSU day. Tomorrow isn't looking too bad now. I think I'm still going to go.

My girlfriend and I got Platinum Passes for the first time ever this year. We are going to take a summer trip to Kings Island and then Cedar Point. Hoping for a full 5 day trip. Super excited this year!
Rain or shine, Maxair still runs! Tilt a whirl is fun in the rain as well. Also the arcade is a good way to escape the weather.
Last year every coaster was closed for first few hours and we picked Valravn to wait in line for. We had to take turns warming up in the gift shop. It was closed due to like 25 mph winds. When it finally opened 2 and a half hours later, the wind was slow the rest of the day. I don't think tomorrow will be as bad as that.
