Everytime I've been on WT, the ops would give a countdown. One day, on my third ride of the day, they didn't even countdown at all. I was waiting for them to say "launching in 3, 2, 1..." but they didn't. It sure caught me by suprise.

One time when I was on WT they counted down 3,2,1 and didnt launch for like 5 seconds, so all of us thought it broke down but then all of the sudden we jerked back and it launched. it was pretty ffrrreeaky.

Last year when I first rode it they said "Launching in 3, 2, 1... oh wait just a second (pause) ok were clear. Launching in 3, 2, 1" then we went.

I figured that I don't like the countdown because I am use to them tricking you. The trick adds to the ride experience, after it starts, you are fine. It would kind of be like the thrill of Power Tower going down, you have no idea when it will come down, you can only wait. After it starts, you are relieved.

But I have ridden it over fifteen times now this season, three alone last night and always had an animated ride operator. But they never mess around with the countdown anymore.

Life has it's ups and downs, might as well make it on a coaster!

Wicked Twister went down for wind, wind speeds were 60-70 mph, a lot of roller coasters were down...MF and TTD (TTD because of the other issues)

WT doesn't go down for wind... period.

When someone goes to CP next, ask someone why they don't do fun speils anymore. If they tell you why, you will be shocked, amazed, and flabberghasted. You can e-mail me if you want, but it wasn't me that told you :)

What is a "fun spiel"?

Well, the standard remove-your-hats-glasses-loose-shoes deal still remains, but once upon a time we were asking "Guests on the train, are you ready?" or "Welcome back riders, how was your ride?" We no longer do such things.

And yeah, WT doesn't go down for wind. We're supposed to rollback.
