Who gets the ice cream?

Hey, I just noticed something.

Dougster/Dragster?

That wasn't even a thought when I created that name. I'm beside myself, laughing at the thought of all you guys thinking about how corny it seemed. Let me explain that this was one of a few nicknames I had as a kid, and not something from off the top of my head.

A lot of us have had suspicions of the magnitude of the ride since May, and the rumors and pieces of the puzzle kept coming together as the season went on. There were quite a few people that knew what it would be back in August, especially since they were originally going to announce the ride in late August...

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of Dragster, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

Are you chickening out? Mad, because you lost? You know, nobody likes a sore loser. >;-p
Uh no, none of those things had anything to do with my post...can you please tell me where in my post you got that from? You're making yourself look like an assclown.

Sorry to get your hopes up, but an assclown I am not! It just seemed like you were trying to find a way out of paying for someone elses ice cream by saying that coasterbob might already have known. But, if you've been paying close attention to his posts, he was speculating like the rest of us.

Really, it's not that big of a deal. I don't think he'll mind if "you" don't show up. There'll be enough people there, honoring their end of the deal, to make him happy. Missing out on one more cone probably won't hurt his feelings too much. Too bad, you'll be missing out on a chance to meet the people who aggravate you so much in this forum.

3:00pm, May 4th, at the Ice Cream Parlor! I hope coasterbob is reading this thread. I'll only wait about 15 minutes. Too much riding to do.

So wait, who gets it?

I'm pretty sure that all who show up will be getting ice cream. But, coasterbob will be getting his for free, when I get there.
Who buys it FoR him?

Along with my brother I will be there opening day and I plan to come get some ice cream and meet some of you so I will see you all there.

No really, who's gonna buy it for him? Do we all pitch in or something?

I'm not going to be there on Opening Day anyway, so what's your point? I don't remember anyone (other than you) agreeing to give the person who guessed it something in return, so how would I be involved with paying for Bob's ice cream? I've already met several people from these boards already, but luckily none of them have aggravated me...

What I meant was everyone who will be there. Then again, Dougster said:

So will he be paying for it?

Ok, if you'll go back & read the thread, the deal was as follows:

"Everybody buys, for the first person who gets it right, an ice cream cone at the Ice Cream Parlor on opening day."

No, this quote is not ver betum. But, it's the premiss of the deal. I didn't hear anybody questioning it while everybody was submitting their "guesses". Now, all of a sudden, nobody seems to know what the deal was.

Really, it doesn't matter to me if anybody else is there. Your honor is yours. It's not my conscience that's on the line if "you"(you know who you are) don't want to uphold your end of a bet you placed. As I said before, I don't think I could eat that much ice cream, anyway. I doubt Bob can either.

Oh, by the way, I sincerely appologize to anyone I've aggravated in this forum. Frankly, I don't have time to be aggravated by anything that happens in an internet forum. Although, I do look forward to meeting the folks with enough dignity to uphold their bet.

3:00pm, May 4th, at The Ice Cream Parlor. Be there, only if you can afford it.

How bout this:

coasterbob, how much ice cream can you eat? Now we know how many people need to buy it for him.
