Who gets the ice cream?

Jeff, since you were the one who "seemed" to be keeping track of who had the right guesses about the stats, to whom do I owe ice cream on opening day. I'm definitely good for it. And, congrats to the winner(s)! See you May 4th! Name the time, though.
3:00pm at the pagoda =D

DELETED!

I believe it was CoasterBob who made the first correct guess. I went back thru 3 months of topics to check but could not find the one where we started the "contest". I didn't spend a whole lot of time looking for it, though. I think it had "final stats" in the title. Does anyone know which it was or if it's been deleted?
Q - How do you find a topic you're searching for something in but can't find it?

A - Make a post that says you can't find it. It works every time.

The topic was "Facing the Facts". CoasterBob made his prediction prior to the "official" contest start and then reiterated his guess a couple days later in the topic. A lot of people thought gibby was the winner and in fact Bob even thought OLYMPIC10086 was correct. Jeff must have really been chuckling at the irony of then telling Bob he was "wrong" when he was "right"!

God knows I was the one who was the most off base. Back when they were just footers, (please don't flame, but lol is ok) I had the thought it may be a new tower and Space Spiral would be no more. I blame the alcohol. Got to blame the alcohol.
What about me? I was the one who guessed what the new marketing term for TTD a week before it was anounced. Its going to be my birthday this sunday how bout you guys send me a TTD shirt. lol
Well I never guessed the exact stats but I did guess that it would be over 400ft tall and over 100mph. Technically that was a "right guess" so can I have some ice cream anyway? ;-)
Alright, coasterbob. You name the time&place. I'll be there. What kind do you want?
I get the ice cream.

You don't look that fat in the pic in your profile. I want some ice cream. I'm skinny. Hell, today I was wearing a size SMALL GS Suit. Uncomfortable in only one spot, which I won't mention.

jduba, I do not believe it is fair to count posts prior to the "official" contest start. Bob may have known the answer prior, but I think the winner should be the first person to post the correct answer after the official start date.

As with every contest, it is the first to answer, not the first to document he knew the answer.

My $.02

Tom

Tom, as I said in my post, Bob made his prediction before I suggested the "contest", but he reiterated it two days later. As far as I could find, no one else had usurped his numbers in the time between his posts, so his claim to them stands. As far as I'm concerned, he wins. If I ever bump into him, he gets a cone and a hearty handshake.
That's right. He's gonna be so sick of ice cream he'll wanna chuck it all. =:-D
Nobody gets any ice cream. The rumors of this ride being over 400 ft tall and over 100 mph have been flowing through the internet long before you guys said anything. But I guess good old Jeff who started this entire message board should get the ice cream.
It is interesting that some of the early rumours were very accurate - I think rcdb had it about right at 420ft and 120mph too, from sometime in August.

So SOMEONE on the inside must have talked....a little at least.

"Will all those who expressed disappointment at the new ride please leave the park now"

Jduba, I have no issues with Bob getting the ice cream. His posts have always been fun to read, and he certainly was on the money regarding Dragsters stats. I would be happy to buy him a cone myself in appreciation for his great posts (like yourself). If he was the first to post the stats after the contest was announced, then I say congrats to Bob.

Tom

Are we serious about this ice cream thing?

I'd have been darn well serious about it, if I were the winner. So, yes. I'm serious. A man of my word. I ain't backin' out because I was wrong. Although, I was pretty close, you have to admit.

EDIT: Bob just has to give us(me) a time&date.
