I almost never wear different shoes than coverse chuck taylor sneakers and I find them really comfy. In matter of appearance whould white ones be ok?

Those would be fine. However, I would definitely suggest something with more support for your feet. I love converse too, just I'm pretty sure my feet would hate me wearing them for 10-15 hours per day.

I would get Nike's because they have better support and they will last longer because you are on your feet for a long time.

Nike all the way! I started off the season with a pair of white Oakley brand shoes, but they didn't have the support my feet needed so I switched to Nikes. Only $35 if there's a Shoe Carnival store near you.
After wearing Skechers, I won't wear anything else. They also last a long time too.

Ditto on shoes with good support. Standing on hard surfaces for 8+ hours a day is hell on your feet, and something flat and thin like a Converse will probably cause you lots of pain.
The arches in my New Balance shoes broke down about halfway through my summer of working there. It got so bad I could barely walk. Bought new shoes and everything was back to normal within a few days.
