Which Hotel?

First time visit, been dreaming of taking my daughter since she was little , now she is 16!! Wondering if it is worth shelling for the Breakers over Breakers express....Feeling like we arent going to be spending that much time in the hotel, as we plan on making early opening both days, and spending most if not all of the day in the park...sooooo, is it worth the extra cash for the Breakers, and if so why?
Ill be plaguing you all repeatedly I'm sure until June with stupid questions, so thank you in advance! JIM

I would shell out the extra for Breakers. Having a hotel right between the park and the lake is worth the extra +/-$50 it will cost. Having the option of going to the room in the afternoon for a rest or a snack without having to get in the car is nice. Just being able to go back to your room at the end of the night without getting in the car is awesome. I've never stayed at Breakers Express and probably never will. For me it's either at cabin at LHP, a room at Breakers if I'm going to stay at a CP resort. Otherwise I just get the cheapest room in town I can find.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

It does give you a great view of the park/lake depending on what side you are on. It is a little overpriced in my opinion though. I haven't been to the hotels in years because I live only an hour away and its not worth staying at the park for me. So I wouldn't be any help on telling the quality of the hotels. I would also look into the Sandcastle hotel. I do not believe you get a great view of the park, but It is a little less expensive than the Breakers.

One pro I'm pretty sure about is that the Breakers has its own park entrance while the Breakers Express does not. This comes in handy if you are staying till close. You are able to walk tight to the Breakers hotel. The Cedar Point parking lot can be hell at times. So if you were to have to drive to breakers express. There is a chance that you might be stuck in the parking lot for a while.

Another word of advice... Try not to plan your visit close to a holiday or on a Saturday. The park is VERY crowded these days.

Also, if you do end up going to the park on a rather busy day and have a little extra money to spend, buy the FastLane pass. It allows you to pretty much cut everyone in line. Like the FastPass system at Disney World. I bielev the prices for these passes are $50 each on top of your ticket price.

Thanks for the tips
Didnt see the fast lane pass available at all, the only way I saw to line cut was the vip thing, which is like 375 each...crazy...we are going on a monday and a tuesday the 218th and 19 th of june

The fast lane is not available yet. It will be new this year, they should have something up soon about it.
