Which coaster trains have the loudest noise

I remember just sitting on the beach, bakin in the sun, and I'd listen to the Magnum lift. One funny thing I remember hearing was some guy on the ride, probably a first timer or just someone makin fun, yelled out so loud I could hear it, and I was a good ways away. I mean it wasn't a scream it was like a laugh/scream. Maybe: AHHHWAHOOWDIKOANIIIIWOW(idk about spelling;))

last summer i stayed in a cabin at light house point, every time a train came by on mean streak the cabin would shake and the lights would flicker sometimes

Id have to say Mantis. I can hear that thing roar from Millennium Force queue. I swear you can hear it on the train as well. I don't know what it is about that coaster but they should've gave it the name Lion or something.

I would have to agree with Shawn that the Mantis is the loudest. When those trians are traveling down the hill and when they are in the dive loop, man its loud. The second loudest coaster I would have to say would be Wicked Twister. The LIM's scream very loud.

For the loudest overall coaster it goes to mantis.

As for loudest lift i have to go with dissaster transport. That echoing is just loud and impossible to talk over. Clank, clank, Clank, clank, Clank, clank, Clank, clank, Ohhhh no im losing control!!!!

Im not sure if its sound effects or not but is the sounds you hear in the line with the rumbble the train going through the turns or not?

Remember that they did try and name it Banshee. That name would have been perfect since it relates to a screaming harbinger of death. I do like the name Mantis though.

Matnis has the classic B&M roar. I would say that it is the loudest.

The argument of which ride is loudest is obviously about perception, but it could be tested by measuring the decibel level given off from a train roaring by.

Having been across from Dragster's tower all summer, I could definitely tell the difference between the sound effects at the launch point and the roar of the train as it shot up the tower. I have a feeling that the reason people think that Mantis is the loudest is because of the duration of its roar. It's nearly a nonstop roar with varying intensity from the first drop to the third inversion. And since the queue is in such close proximity to the train as it traverses the course, it seems to be louder than the rest.

I would be willing to bet that the Dragster trains produce a much higher decibel level where it reaches maximum speed than any of the other coasters at Cedar Point. But if you are talking about sustained loudness through perception of a person close to the ride, then Mantis gets it hands down.

When waiting in line for TTD when it broke down Power Tower always tricks you into think the brakes dropped on the launch track, you then look to just learn Power Tower is ready to drop a car. Anybody else fall for this?

I've never ahd the patience to stay in TTD's line during a breakdown. I usually go and pray that it will reopen.

Gomez, that happens to me soooooooo much, especially when im waiting for it to open after a breakdown along the black fence.

Something funny about WT, I always thought on the launch that screech was people screaming until I saw it launch without people and it still made the noise. It took me a second to realize what happened lol.

Mantis at the bottom of the first hill is the loudest by far. In line for MF is also loud, but not like Mantis
