Ok, Cedar Point usually holds true to its promises, so where's the new Rec-Center? Anyone on this board live near Sandusky and know whats up around Commons? And what will be in the Rec Center? I started in 1998 well after the previous rec center was around.
Here's the run down of what's possibly going to be included inside (straight from papers brought to my campus by a recruiter):
"Currently in the works for the 2000 season is the construction of an employee recreation center. In the plans for the center, employees would have access to a TV room, food service center, quiet room for relaxing, game room, and a beer garden for employees 21 years of age and older. The center is currently projected to be built conveniently adjacent to both the Commons and the Bayside housing complexes."

Hehe, I'll never get to a gym this summer. I'm going to have to do sit ups in my room, lots of them, and run at the lake or something. A beer garden? Hehe, doubt it'll replace Louie's.

Being a sweep you should get enough exercise walking that the sit-ups and running at the lake shouldn't be necessary. But if you do decide to run the beach at night let me know if you need a body guard ;)

has construction begun?????
Well the reason I will need exercise is to keep in shape for hockey so it has to be more intense than just walking around the park all day. Dangit I was just catching up with my teammates in lifting too....grrrr.

So is that a yes or a no on the body guard?
lol I play hockey, I can probably handle myself. Can always use some company on a jog though, if you think you can keep up.

I think hockey can compare to indoor soccer. Both have walls, you check people in both. I just do the running. I cant just coast when im catching my breathe. :)

There is no catching of breath in my game lol. If you're coasting, my coach pulls ya. I'm playing Division I women's hockey, coasting is not an option. Skate hard for 63 seconds, rest for a few minutes, skate hard for another 63 seconds. That's the way of our kind of hockey. Anything else, we'd lose.
