Back left is going to be the seat that goes upside-down at 170ft the fastest, the rest of the train will be pulling it down the drop.

^^I'm not saying he hasn't ridden it, but he's spoken of his time on Wild Eagle and from my experience on X-Flight, he is dead on. Great seat.

Maybe I missed it somewhere on another thread; but, I thought I read Gatekeeper will have "big boy seats" for guest of slightly exceptional size. Does anybody know exactly where these seats are going to be located on the trains? Will they have some kind of signage or other identification indicating the riders of questionable exceptional size should sit in those seats or will it be up to the guest to ask a ride host?

^I don't know exactly how much larger in comparison these seats will be to the rest of the rows, but I know that in a blog post Tony said they would be on the 4th car (or perhaps 5th) car of the train. I don't think they will be reserved or designated for only people of larger size though

Maybe the 4th row will be reserved for "Fat Lane Plus"

^^^We tried to get collective answers in the seat belt length thread but your ranting got that closed. 4th row and slightly larger is all I've heard. No word on the test seat reflecting this option, either.

It's hard to compare different restraints from different manufacturers, but if I had to guess, I'd say the "accommodation factor" on row 4 of GateKeeper is most similar to that of Maverick.

I just wish larger people would use the test seats at the line entrance, so the rest of the riders don't have to wait for this issue. I think this 4th row bigger seats may create a hassle for ride-ops having to relocate people to the big-boy seats, after they have wasted time already trying to accommodate them in other rows.

Not to mention, you'd think they'd use the test seats to avoid the 'walk-of-shame'

That being said, I will try the back left first.

The test seats are pointless when belt length varies.

I think there was another thread at one time that talked about this. People would try the test seats and fit fine only to get to the ride and find out that the belts were far shorter and all different lengths and the guest were forced to do the walk of shame for no reason. Instead of blaming blaming park operations for poor customer relations people wanted to rant about all sorts of things instead of the real problem. The "big boy" don't fix the problem completely, but it is at least a better effort than making seat belts that are too short.

I actually like the name "Fat Lane Plus", thats a good one LOL. :) I still think they should have a sign indicating the 4th row is better for X-large guest.

From what I can tell, having been on several other B&M's with the big boy seats, the seats/restraints themselves are not physically any larger than any other seat on the train. The difference is the seat belt is a bit longer, and there are two of them, allowing the restraint to operate without going down as far as it would need to with a shorter belt.

It kind of begs the question, why don't they just do that with all of them?

From the looks of the POV the right side definitely looks more intense with all of the near misses.

Well you see... The manufacturer has these specifications and then Ohio lawmakers pass laws that don't really address anything. Then you have to take into consideration President Obama pushed for universal health care and the Republicans control both houses of congress. Factor that with the Israeli / Palestine conflict and the rest of the tensions in the Middle East. Also you still have the possibilities of nuclear proliferation in under developed nations or signs of aggression from the unstable North Korean leadership. Take all of that into consideration and I'm sure you can understand why it is just so darn hard to make sure the seat belts are all the same size and the correct length.

Preferably the front outer right seat for the first flight. The near miss elements look more intense (especially during the keyhole passthrough).

After watching the POV, the right side seems to be more intense.
