My friend and I are trying to plan a trip to Cedar Point. At first we were going to try going on opening weekend, but then I read a bunch of different reports from opening days about how a bunch of the major rides are usually down due to mechanical issues and what not.
My question is: Should we keep trying to go to CP on opening weekend, or should we maybe delay it a weekend or two? (Would like to go before students get out on summer break)
Hmm. It's looking like we may go over Memorial Day weekend since everyone wouldn't have to worry about going to work on Monday. We may still go for a day trip on opening day, I guess.
Does anyone know how busy CP usually is over Memorial Day weekend?
Depending on when you get off of school, the first day of summer is usually empty. For all of the school in the north eastern Ohio are we have 4 extra days this school year to make up for snow days. Last year my school got out three days earlier than most of Ohio and a group of 20 of my friends all went up and the park was almost empty. 15 min wait for dragster, walk on for the Millenium, and 30 min wait for Maverick. Also try to plan a trip when most people won't go. Whenever they're calling for 30% is an ideal time to go. It will scare away those who only go once a year and many more when in fact it only rains in the morning than the lake ridge win affect blows the rain inland for the rest of the day. At worst a ride will be closed down for 30 min and it will be humid all day.
