What's your favorite 2014 memory @ CP?

I was checking out the CP website event page. It keeps getting smaller as the season comes to an end, and bitter sweet. All of my visits (to date) have been special in some way, because I choose to not let many things bother me when visiting. With that said-my best visit was 7/19. Family had rented a new deluxe cabin, and invited us(free of charge)! One member of our group was local, as it was his Co. picnic that day. This company had free range of MF from 12:15am to (at least) 1:30am. It was part of their days planned events. We were invited(allowed) to enjoy this with them. SO FUN!!! We didn't have to change seats, or trains, unless we wanted to! The rides opps were playing their music choices, very laid back & funnier than normal! We felt very spoiled. After about 8 straight rides, I rested & the others took 6 more rides..lol!

Keep passing the fun along!

Mine was a summer night, I don't remember what day. I was standing in front of MF and the line was 2 hours. I decided to go in and this man and his family asks me "You look like a fine fellow and we have an extra front of the line pass, Wanna join us?" of course I said yes. Best RIDE ever.

I'm a Rougarou that doesn't bite, I've been domesticated by Cedar Point

That's great! MF is still at the top on my list! I like the dusk/ evening ride, I 'hear' the ride & sounds(around me) better-if that makes sense.

Keep passing the fun along!

The campout in the park July 18th was the best. Huge thanks to Tony Clark for organizing this amazing opportunity. Never heard of any amusement park letting people tent camp inside the park. A night of fun and excitement in Camp Rougarou! We camped on the patio outside the Palace theatre, under the awning! Light rain, but everyone had fun! A 2 a.m. visit from some screamsters!

I agree! Probably my favorite memory at CP ever actually. It was such a fun night. So many rides, smores, and scares. It was perfect, minus the morning rain. And even with that, I probably won't ever get the opportunity to marathon ride MF in the rain like that again, so I can't complain :)

The special events do sound fun! I(family) plan on joining a coaster club after the bills get paid this week! Any recommendations? But until then, it's all what we make of it, and that's the fun part for me. One visit we decided to ride train for 2 hours..lol, having good conversations and laughing along the way!

CoasterMania was my favorite 2014 Cedar Point memory by far. There were just so many perfect things about that day -- the weather, low crowds, good food, endless rides and time spent with family -- I will always remember it as one of my favorite trips to CP I've ever had. We can't wait to go back next year!

@RyanRufe

This was my first year that we've taken our kids to Cedar Point so I have a lot of great memories from our trip. From hearing their excitement as we approached the park from the causeway, to listening to them talk about the trip to their friends after we got home, and everything in between.

It was the first time that my oldest daughter rode a "big" roller coaster, the Mantis. I could tell that it wasn't one that she really cared for but it was still a special experience. She's already told me that next year we should ride Rougarou together.

My wife and I also made a trip to Cedar Point for her birthday and that turned out to be a fun experience for us. We started the day on Millennium Force and it had been about ten years since either of us had been on it. She was reluctant to ride at first but after it was over she said, "Ok, we can definitely ride that one again!" so that's how we closed out the day. We also got to ride both Maverick and Gatekeeper for the first time. As we walked around the park we kept running into a group of Amish so all of that made for some fun, and interesting, memories too.

We are probably taking another trip this Sunday to check out Halloweekends. I'm hoping to get my oldest daughter on MF so we can share that experience together. Oh, and hopefully I'll finally get to ride TTD for the first time - though everyone has already told me that I have to ride alone. Haha.

Mine was a tie between getting a line skippy from Tony through a tweet-up! And the other had to be waiting in line for only thirty minutes to ride Maverick front row! (I had no fast lane or nothing, and it was on a Saturday!)

My two favorite memories so far from 2014 were opening day, and winning one of the commemorative blue streak coins from a tweet up.

I'm personally a member of the Great Ohio Coaster Club (GOCC) they have a family plan that I believe is only $25 for the family each year

Bringing my 6 month old son for the first time for the 4th of July. :)

Ride nights...any of them.....

well, let's see, I have many funny ones, so I'll have to say one of them was on July 4th when my husband and I were on the beach waiting for my friend to arrive from inside the park. We walked out and there was this man standing by windseeker looking all tough with his arms crossed. Like 50 other people sat down on the beach but didn't move past him, they must have thought he was a lifeguard. But us and others went past him. he stood like that for an hour, so funny and no one moved closer to the fireworks.

The excitement on my daughter's face when she got the "official" 48" measurement and red wristband at the front gate upon our first visit of 2014. Then she made it clear that next stop was to be Magnum where she insisted on front car, front seat for her first ever "big" coaster.

The rest of the day was riding all the coasters that were now open to her finishing the day on Millennium Force.

Now she wants on Gatekeeper, Maverick, and TTD.

Wow! What a great year everyone has had!
We go one weekend in May as a family, and there were so many Best Day moments to chose from! My favorite would be when at the end of our day in Planet Snoopy my 5 year old son asked me to go on the Snoopy teacup spinning ride. We were the only ones on the ride and it was freezing cold out, but he said "Mom, can we do this forever?" If only we could go to the park and ride every day together! Can't wait till next year!

Seeing all the tents set up for 'coaster campout'. I was a participant for the Friday event but not a camper.

Definitely Coastermania. I got to meet up in person with rcoaster10, who I had become good friends with. Plus the entire day was just amazing, and I've never been on so many rides in one day thanks to all the ERT. I'll always remember the night ERT on Maverick when we kept going around and around, and the crew was having a blast and make everyone have a good type by singing songs and creating an exciting atmosphere. That day was amazing.

After having a pretty miserable experience in 2013 due to a concussion on I got while riding Maverick, and prolonged dizziness throughout the year after that incident, I was pretty concerned that I would have problems this year again.

so... my favorite moment was getting on Maverick this year and having no problems at all! I was able to enjoy every coaster with no issues.
