Whats new in sandusky for 2004

Is the new shopping center where Sports City was done? What else is new and what places have gone under. They need another late night eatery so people don't always have to go to Dianna's or the overpriced Steak & Shake.

I think the Sports City land is now the home of a Home Depot, not an actual shopping center.

They finally have the Home Depot done and open. Yeah the Sport City is gone and Home Depot is a little futher back away from the road. They are building a Taco Bell/Long John Slivers where the Diary Queen used to be on 250. Best Buy is now open and they are remodeling Kroger.

as far as i know Best Buy is open...yay! but it's one of those mini-best-buys, but still better then nothin. all we need is a hollister! :)

Actually.. Best Buy has been open and it's not a "mini Best Buy". They just don't have the appliance section. They are the first 20,000 square foot store in the country. Most Best Buys are 30,000 and up.

Plan to see more of them around the country.

Woot! (sorry, that is my sound of excitement) I just found out there is a Hot Topic right in the mall in Sandusky. I'm excited. Maybe now I'll be able to afford to buy things when I go there.

Exactly Lisa... We finally have a place with a decent selection of DVD's in town at decent prices.

Before Best Buy we had Suncoast (WAY over-priced) and Wal-Mart (selection stinks).

Good example.. I needed a new copy of Boondock Saints. Great movie but never really was released in theaters in the US because of it's timeing with the Columbine shootings. No one in town had it.. The day Best Buy opened, they had over 20 copies. I was in heaven..

FIZZ-oli's huh ;) kidding, of course... I think they were thinking of making the whole Home Depot area a shopping center of some kind, although I don't really know why b/c the other shopping centers right across the street have problems keeping their tennants as it is. Hell 1/5 of the mall has been empty up until recently...

In any case I thought they were thinking of making it a shopping center due to the big sign where there's room for more than just the "Home Depot" sign...
