What's going on?

(Please excuse my grammar and spelling I'm typing on my phone & in a rush... sorry)

Why does it feel like I'm getting the run around from everyone?
I asked my former manager if I'm blacklisted or on condittions, he tells me I can't work for his department but other managers could review me. (NO ONE HAS)
I call HR they act like they can't tell me if I'm conditions or not, they say you should be fine. Obviously my app says something if I can't be hired by a whole department

I feel It isnt fair if just because I left early I can't be hired, they only take the managers word. I feel I should be able to explain myself. Is it ok to just be mistreated? I couldn't switch departments because working in hotel the managers will not allow it.

I worked at cedar point last season, my managers weren't that good to me. I still gave the job my all. One time I worked 3 shifts non stop with hardly any breaks, still I didn't complain. I asked to go home (employee housing) they didn't allow me to until they could find someone to cover. I only was scheduled to work 4pm to midnight, however they were short staffed so I was called in and worked 8am to 4 and then when midnight came, I had to stay until about 7am. (Almost 24hrs)

After all of this I still wasn't looked at as a good employee. we had ratings & I always was given the best scores, so I know I was a good employee.
I endured more complications, but I NEVER complained to them.
Finally I was promoted when they had no other choice, I was worked even harder. I finally broke and said that, I was ready to leave. My manager brought in 2 bigger managers (Top managers who you hardly see) I had a meeting with all 3, basically they convinced me to stay his words were (stick with me until halloweekend) that's exactly what I did & then I left.

Only thing I can say is explain to your managers and HR and whatnot again..

But here's the thing, you broke your contract, and did you call off your shifts, or no call no show, straight up just left?

Honestly I'm not sure because you can say something on here, I don't know you, your work history, or your managers. But all I can say is if you want it keep trying, but honestly have backup plans like any other job seeking time.

This seems to be a big problem for the 2014 season. Many Re-Hires have not been contacted to return for employment this season. I feel your pain. It seems like ever since HR had trouble with job codes a lot of people have been having problems getting re-hired this season weather good or bad conditions. You are correct some managers and Hr Reps simply do not want to help non green light re-hires. If you are trying to just get away from home but also make money I would suggest give up on cedar point. Try working at a national park. I too am having a hard time getting re-hired so I have decided to give up on trying. If I get the email that I have been considered to come back great if not oh well. I am tired of being tossed around departments like a Hot potato. So I am going to work and save up some money and hope to hear from one of the national parks I applied to and go from there.

Its not fair how new employees get first dibs on jobs before Green light re-hires and conditional re-hires re-hires should be first then New hires since new hires have to be trained it seems like they should get last dibs on jobs. If I were an employer new people would be last in line as they are not trained like a previous employee. Again thats just my opionion.

there are many reasons why returners and leadership have not gotten calls yet. bc there aren't set rules on who gets hired first, so be patient.

2010: Corkscrew/Super Himalaya, Shoot the Rapids
2011: Shoot the Rapids, Sweeps, Mantis
2012: TL Area 3 Sweeps
2013: TL Snake River Falls
2014: Ride Supervisor Sky Ride
2015: Ride Supervisor Sky Ride

Sorry about that thank you for clearing that up.

There are thousands of positions that need to be filled. And very very few people who have already been hired. The park is consistently hiring even after the park has opened. It's not like they are going to run out of positions. Just give it some time.
Latrice- if you were blacklisted you would not have been able to apply at all. If you are not allowed back into your previous department, more than likely you ARE a conditional rehire. That means you can be hired into other departments but more than likely the interview process would be more extensive. There is a chance that other departments aren't interested based on your previous season but I would say don't lose hope since it's so early in the hiring process.

You broke a contact. May not seem like a big deal, but if you up and left one day which I am assuming happened, you probably left them in a not-so-favorable position and depending on the time of year you probably screwed them over. Maybe take it as a learning experience? Perhaps other managers just simply aren't interested in your application.
