The lack of height on coasters is more than just Cedar Fair. Around the WORLD, parks have slowed down in building record setting height coasters. Since 2005, there have only been four coasters taller than 400' tall, and two of those barely just squeaked out 300'. The days of someone topping out a taller coaster every year are over. Maybe someone will go 500' some year, or maybe they won't. It wouldn't surprise me either way.
I'm sure there's a reason the Orlando Skyplex still hasn't been built after several years. Astronomical costs and other red tape. And that's in an area where it can run year-round. Something like that would be a very poor investment for a seasonal park like CP. Not worth having some meaningless title like "world's tallest coaster" in their park.

Late to the game, but...
...unlikely.
