What would a 500 ft. coaster type be called???

I’d call a 500 foot coaster “Holy Sh*t!”

On another subject, it always gives me pain to see folks trashing Dick Kinzel. I wonder how many of the folks trashing him actually knew him. I did. Good dude.

The lack of height on coasters is more than just Cedar Fair. Around the WORLD, parks have slowed down in building record setting height coasters. Since 2005, there have only been four coasters taller than 400' tall, and two of those barely just squeaked out 300'. The days of someone topping out a taller coaster every year are over. Maybe someone will go 500' some year, or maybe they won't. It wouldn't surprise me either way.

I'm sure there's a reason the Orlando Skyplex still hasn't been built after several years. Astronomical costs and other red tape. And that's in an area where it can run year-round. Something like that would be a very poor investment for a seasonal park like CP. Not worth having some meaningless title like "world's tallest coaster" in their park.

Me, I would love it if a roller coaster went over 500 feet high.

Seems to me I heard an interview (at IAPAA, I think) with someone from RMC a year ago saying a T-Rex could go four or five hundred feet, although no coasters using T-Rex track exist yet, as far as I know.

Late to the game, but...

...unlikely.

A GCI could go 500' or even higher, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

^Lol. I'm totally on board with calling a 500-footer a Creed coaster.

The only acceptable theme song is "higher" being blasted in the station.

Higher by Taio Cruz?

Because a super lame tangential lyric association to whatever ride attribute worked out so well for TTD... or any other ride for that matter.
Station music has to Be the lamest addition from a manufacturer.l.

Actually I quite like the station music the few rides at cedar point that have it.

I didn't say it was a good idea, just what I heard. Whether or not it's a good Idea would be up to Cedar Fair.

Would it count if Kings Island built one that was 450 feet tall as long as the drop was 500 feet? ;)
