What will happen if Intamin go's under?

Don't forget that a few of those incidents were the faults of the ride operators I believe. I give up. Criticize them all you want. I dont know why everyone is under the impression all of the sudden that Intamin is this terrible company.

Well, what other ride manufacturers have had as many ride-related deaths/injuries in the past 5 years?

Name every incident, and describe them.

Its not the company that's terrible, just their engineering department.

Well, Arrow isn't technically out of business, but Even so, ANY fab shop can create custom parts for ANYTHING - its not like Arrow/Intamin have patented metal fabrication technology.

Thankyou djDaemon, I guess im not the only one that knows about metal fabrication. ;)

I will now return to my duties as a garbage man.

tech companies go out of business.. most parts are outsourced anyways.. and also anythink unique has to have prints and i'm sure they supply the 25 million dollar owners might gets those plans in case of such things happening

It still amazes me that Arrow went under...

IAG going under would REALLY amaze me.. now, in 10 years, or well beyond.

I'm to the point now that I wish CP would tear down TTD just to make everyone happy. I don't remember any IAG haters before Wicked Twister.

Cedar Point wants to try and keep Top Thrill Dragster, but it has been frustrating for the guests and for Cedar Point to keep the ride going without breakding down all the time. Now my question is, Is Intamin in debt? I don't understand why everyone thinks that Intamin will go under.

What if Dell goes under? Will all of the Dell Computers people own gonna dissapear? No. *** Edited 1/4/2006 1:15:30 AM UTC by Keith 2005***

Jeff made the comparison in a recent Coasterbuzz Podcast of Intamin to Wal-Mart. They'll give you whatever the hell you want, at a super-cheap price, just don't expect much out of the ride or in Wal-Mart's case whatever you bought. I've got news for you, could B&M build a rocket if they really wanted to... yes. However, they would quickly price themselves out of the market because they would do it right. You can go to the fine furniture store and get the nice hand-crafted chair, or, you can go to Wal-Mart and get the folding chair that does the same thing, is half as comfy, and will break in a couple months for a quarter of the price.

ven if Intamin stops making coasters, I doubt any parks would have a problem getting parts from them, or anywhere else. It seems like everyone forgets that they also have a monorail division. I don't know how big it is, but I'm sure its big enough where even if the rides division would fail, they could just exist as a monorail company. And if that exists, I'm sure that they would be willing to make parts for pre-existing rides still.

But even if Intamin as a whole died, I'm sure that parks would have no problems either machining the parts themselves, or having a 3rd party do it for them... Especially considering that some parks have nearly 100-year old, one of a kind rides still in operation. I'm pretty sure Cedar Point makes parts for Cedar Downs themselves.
