What was your first coaster?

This is a question I have asked quite a few people in the park. The response is quite surprising. My first coaster I'm told by my mom is the Racers @ PKI. I don't remember them but my sister said I screamed for hours after riding it. (she likes to tease me alot)
My first memorable ride is the corkscrew. I rode it with my eyes shut the first time. The people I tell that to can't believe it, but I was scared to death of coasters' until the Beast broke my fear. Then I couldn't get enough of them. As they say, the rest is History. How about yours?
As embarrassing as it was, the Gemini was my first coaster in the early '80s, and I was TERRIFIED! (I was only 5 or 6) The restraints were different, just these little orange bars that looked too small for such a huge coaster and they MOVED once they were locked. Not a nice thing to do to a little kid! But I lived, and there is no coaster in the world I won't ride. *Grin*

My first coaster was the Jr. Gemini:). Back when I was 7 I was terrified of the Mine Ride:( I wanted to face my fear
in 98' by riding Blue Streak, No:( I hated it. Then here in 2000 I i tried it again. I went, waited, and rode the Magnum, loved it:) Now I love coasters and cant wait till I return August 20. But I'm still not fond of coasters that go upside down even though i never rode one.

My first was also the Jr. Gemini, sometime shortly after it opened. My first adult coaster was right across the midway in 1983. Still my favorite.

My first coaster wasn't at Cedar Point. It was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World. I then wen't to Cedar Point and road Blue Streak. That was before it was modified and Whoa was I scared!! And my parents always said i was a weird little kid. I would always play at King Arthur's Court and ride the smaller kiddie rides. Then later during the day i would go and ride the smaller coasters. Then my first coaster above 100 feet was Gemini. My hands were sweating the whole way up the first hill. And that is what got me hooked.

Mine Ride
The Comet Coaster at Nay Aug Park in Scranton PA. A demonic little jr. woodie supported by construction scaffolding. Used to ride it with my grandmother. Mine Ride was my first "adult" coaster.
I must be suffering from senility. I can't remember my first. I am burning brain cells on a very important question. UGH!!!!

First coaster was the Racer at Kennywood. Waited all of my life, as far back as I can remember, to ride it. Rode it with my mom, in fact.

First coaster at Cedar Point? Millenium Force.

WHOO!
My first one was the Mindbender (at SFOG)!
My first coaster was Kumba at BGT. This was in 1995, so it was one of the biggest in the world still. After that, I've been hooked!
The Little Dipper at Memphis Kiddie Park in Brooklyn, Ohio. Lol! First full size coaster was the Mine Ride.

Mine was the Gemini when I was I was 7. I was so scared at the chain lift with the clickedy clackedy and remember asking my dad if it was suppose to do that. After Gemini I knew that I was hooked on coasters.

Mine happened to be the Gemini as well. I wanted to go on something smaller...but my parents insisted I go on the gemini becuase it was right next to Camper Village--where we were staying at the time. I was scared to death. I ended up hanging out at the Iron Dragon for the rest of the day, even though, my parents dragged me on everything else first!!!

Iron Dragon-I was 7 and that was the only "major"(I use that term lightly) coaster I could go on. Since I have 2 older brothers that were taller, I had to wait at the exit while they went on Mean Streak and Magnum. If I was tall enough, I would have gone on them. Let's just say I have been a coaster nut ever since I "got to the point".
First CP Coaster: CCMR
First ever coaster: Racing Whippet @ West View Park (both park and coaster now defunct)
