What was your favorite 2002 CP memory?

My mom, and some family friends went together. It was my Mom's first time on MF/WT, and she loved it. We also started off the day with free RipCord rides because one of the friends we were with was a life guard. The expression on my Mom's face was priceless...she screamed for probably 30 seconds straight.

Waiting for the last train of the night on MF, a few days before going back to school.

Taking a CP virgin to CP, along with another friend. We were going to get to ride MF another time, but a wicked storm hit the peninsula out of nowhere. It was sweet seeing people running every which way to get out of the wind/rain/lightning. We sat there for nearly an hour waiting to see if they would open the rides back up, but it never happened. Instead, we left and had like a 3 hour discussion over anything and everything. I had a great time, and the discussion made the trip home seem very short.

Standing at a midway vendor, only to look over and see Mr. Kinzel on a stroll. I went out to meet and shake his hand. This is probably my favorite memory.

The great July 1st Power Outage :) I never worked a worse open to close than that day. But still it was fun.

2002 ATL Monster/Witches' Wheel

Flying over the park in an airplane for the first time and shooting great video and taking snapshots. The near-mob that happened one morning at the entrance of MF. Riding some of CP's flats for the first time ever. I was just so "coaster crazy" that for 2 years I ignored all the flats but this year I discovered and became quite acquainted with most of them including the now defunct Swabinchen.

MF at night during halloweekends.

Coming down that hill with the only thing in sight a giant cloud of fog. Then flying by the side of the lift hill, with it all lit up like a christmas tree.

Best ride ever on MF for me.

Sitting by the campfire while camped at CV for 4 days and listening to the sounds that the park makes as it comes alive and goes to sleep.

God, I miss that right now.

"If we go any faster, she'll blow apart for sure!"

I would have to say either the first time I rode MF, (hey I used to be a chicken too!) or the first time I rode WT.

Those were great times..also when me and my best friend went to Breakwater Cafe, and I got to talk to the employies, I think they were impressed by how much I knew about the park!

And when I only waited for 15 min on MF when everyone else waited 2 hours.

Mine would be being the last ride of MF one night and then the next day meeting some awesome girls and then power riding raptor after the park was closed because MF broke down. CP is so nice to do things like that.
Mine would have to be riding Millennium Force (or MilF as we sometimes call it) in the back seat for the first time... it gave me a much greater appreciation for the ride because getting yanked over that first 80 degree drop is unlike anything in the park. Plus the airtime is better in the back.

Opening Day '02
Wicked Twister -- Back Row -- Last Train of the Day
The truth is out there...

Mine would be when MF broke down so we went over to mantis then came back and mf jus opened up and i was the 5th person in line and waited 3 mintues for the front car, if only everytime that happened :)
i have 2...(i only got to go once this summer)...

first would be takin part in the mad dash to MF...i was sprinting all the way there and was ahead of almost everyone...then i turn around and realize that my dad, brother, and cousin we're WAYYY behind me...i had to turn around and get them...and i still only wait 5 minutes for the back seat.

next would be that ride in the back seat...it had been more than 2 years since i rode MF and i forgot about the awesome airtime in the back

2002 was a season I'll never forget. Before this season I wouldn't ride a single coaster, but I still loved Cedar Point and Roller Coasters. After watching the construction of WT I finally got to ride it, the best experience I ever had.

Millennium Force was another coaster you couldn't get me on. In July we went on Iron Dragon first and got stuck right before the second lift for about 10 minutes. They gave us free tickets for riding on any ride without waiting. Of course my family all wanted to go on MF. So I did and it was another experience I'll never forget.

The 3rd time I went was in Oct. and there were absolutly no lines. It was great. Everything except MF had a 5 minute wait or less. I rode both WT and Raptor 3 times, and MF only 1 time. I also got to see the construction of #16.

2002 was great and 2003 is going to be even better! #16 will be awesome.

Wicked Twister 4ever

Definitely those Holloweekend Sundays when every ride but millie was walk up, and riding one of the last few trains on millie for the year...it's always pretty cool looking under that last overbank and seeing the midway empty.

Enjoy your ride on the Big Bad Bug

I would say that my favorite memory was taking two of my friends who are forign exchange students to the park. One was from England and the other from France. They had an awesome time and enjoyed the whole park. Their favorite coasters were MF for Oliver (French), and Magnum (wOOt!) for Crystal (English).

My other favorite memory is just beeing at the park 16 times. LoL.
