What to do When The Park Closes?

We are going to Cedar Point From Tuesday-Friday the week before Labor Day. The Park Closes at 8:00 do the other thing like mini golf and the pool at Hotel Breakers close as well? If so, do you have any suggestions of anything else to do in the area?

Wish I was going sooner.

Challenge Park is open for an hour after park closing.

The hotel pools operate like any other hotel pool. So they are probably open until 10, possibly 11 for adults only. I'm not sure on the specific hours, but and email or call to the park (or when you check in) would clarify this.

Also, know that closing time at CP means that they close the enterance to a line, not the ride. So if you were to say hop into the Maverick line at 7:59, you would be able to ride it even after the standard 1 hr 45 min wait at around 9:45.

some things to do if you are really bored you could wander down 250 to some of the stores and restraunts down there, the mall is also down the street. Fridays is usually open late for food and drinks. the pools usually close around 10ish at breakers. You could also take a stroll down the boardwalk toward SS and turn thru CV and return to the hotel thru Challenge park. Thats all the stuff i did after the park closed, i was there for a week last year.

I find that restaurants are not very accommodating to CP visitors in terms of hours of operation.

You have Applebees, Thirsty Pony, BW3 probably is open many nights till midnight or later, Dianes which is kind of eh, and Steak and Shake and on yeah like someone said, TGI Fridays.

Than your various fast food restaurants.

All water parks close by the time the park closes and the pools at the CP resorts are open 11, but people stayed in them later IT SEEMED. There are lifeguards though which can at their discretion I believe keep the pool open later. But I wouldn't plan on CP resort pools being open late.

There isn't a whole lot to do. Supposedly Put-In-Bay is the big drinking scene, you can bet on sporting events at the thirsty pony.

There is realistically for family things to do....laser tag, mini-golf, and the Challenge Park at CP is always open an hour later than the park.

Once the park closes, food, pool, and alcohol sounds really good.

Usually ride lines will close 5-10 min after the park is scheduled to close. Maverick is no exception. Some smaller rides, such as umm Mine Ride or Antiques lets say close at closing time, because there usually isnt any line, so we want to get the HECK OUT OF THERE, and not have to wait two hours waiting in line in the parking lot to get 2 miles down the causeway.

After the park closes, I'm always exhausted, so I sleep in the nearest bed I can call my own. :)
