What Ride would you ride all day if you had the chance?

If you had the chance to ride your favorite rollercoaster all day which one would you pick? I would ride Millennium Force all day.

This thread is now about how awesome Magnum is.

Hmmmmm. Well if Maverick had lapbars that didn't cut the blood off to your legs I would pick that. But it does have those so I won't pick that one. I do not know if I could ride the bunny hops on Magnum for 24 straight hours. I would like to try thoguh.

I'm going to have to go with TTD. It has comfy seats and restraints, its smooth, it doesn't give me a headache, and after about 20 launches I would be able to fall asleep on it.

24 hours on TTD, no problem.

(If we are not talking about CP, then Apollo's Chariot at BGE)

Hmmm. First choice has got to be Witches' Wheel. If they'd let me take a pillow on that thing, I could sleep for two hours.

Diamondback.

Oh, you mean Cedar Point, right? Hmmmm... Well, PWE or CP&LERR would certainly be doable for a day long marathon, but short on the thrill factor. Not many points there.

For thrill rides I might choose between 2 of my favorites - maXair or Chaos. For coasters I would pick Blue Streak, Millenium Force, or Magnum in that order. And not that those coasters are in order of favorite first, but I guess they'd be my top three and are in the order that I think would be most comfortable for a whole day.

Truth told, I don't think there's a ride anywhere that I could/would want to do all day. I've been to many parks (including CP) on days slow enough that it could've been possible, but after a while I just gotta move on.

I'm the oldest one here. CP emp '73-'74

I would fall asleep on probably either MF for it comfort level and smooth transitions, Maxair for it's tranquillizing swing/pendulum movement, or Giant wheel for just sitting at the top.
My friend would fall asleep on Maxair all day, and my sister would on disaster transport because she seems to have a relationship with the ride.....

Rather than being a dream come true, for me it would be more of an endurance test. With that in mind, I'd go with MF, because it would keep me interested, and multiple rides on it don't seem to affect me at all. Just leave a little gap in the lapbar, ok? Truth be told, I probably could have handled that Gemini marathon a few weeks ago, too.

A true masochist would alternate between Mantis and Mean Streak.

I already fall asleep on Millenium Force after the first round because it bores me. MAGNUM-XL-200 for me.

Pepsi Refresh is saving one coaster at a time: http://pep.si/bTTsfc

Skyhawk is very relaxing and I love it, I could ride it all day. But like Mike, with a pillow, I could fall asleep on Witches Wheel.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

This choice is easy. Just strap me into Skyscraper with a case of Blue Moon strapped in next to me and park me up top. :)

I agree with the folks who say its probably impossible to ride on ride all day long without getting totally bored with it. I rode Magnum 7 times in just over an hour in 2004 or 2005 and was 100% totally bored with it at that point.

If I was able to pick one ride and ride it over and over until I was bored with riding it, I would probably pick Millennium, Blue Sreak, Maverick, Raptor and then Dragster. At least that is the order of the rides I think I would ride the longest. I could ride Magnum and Gemini a long time as well though I would be bored with Magnum in a couple of rides and I get bored with Gemini at the bottom of the first hill every time that I ride it. And with Gemini part of the problem probably is that I rode it 15 times one day when I was in 8th grade (and it was the biggest ride in the park).

Either Dragster or Wicked Twister, all the other coasters either mess with my head after two or three rides, or hurt my back from the multiple up/down motions. Most likely Wicked Twister :)

I tried tilt-a-whirl three times in a row, and man was I dizzy.

GATEKEEPER-I came, I rode, I was mildly disappointed; until a second ride (rear left) put GateKeeper back on the...it's a nice ride list.

First on my list would be maXair, which I've already done for most of a day already (Labor Day 05, 29 rides). Blue Streak would be my next choice because, well, its awesome. :)

And sorry Ben, it looks like this is turning into a thread about how awesome Blue Streak is. ;)

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

What about the turnpike cars? Oh wait, that's about how long 1 lap takes anyway.... :)

If the transition into the station was smoothed out, I'd choose Raptor, but on an inside seat.

I took part in the Coasting for Kids ride-a-thon a few weeks ago on Gemini. Trust me, it's not as easy as you'd think to ride Gemini (or any ride for that matter) all day. After 125 laps - my back was screaming at me (and I'm still young). But it was fun as all heck! I hope Cedar Point allows coasterbuzz to bring it back next year, as I would totally do it again!

So to answer the question of this thread: my vote goes to Gemini - mainly because I now know that ride inside-out and know each and every bump along the track(s). :)

I change mine to Ripcord.

Let's Get Weird.

I am with you Mathyou. As I was part of the group also. I will never be able to look or ride Gemini the same. Considering I survived 108 laps on it which doing some quick math that is about 8-10 years of going to Cedar Point and riding it.

I am with you I do hope they hold the event again.

To all that haven't marathon a coaster it does take a lot out of you it is not as easy as it seems.

I don't know if I could do that based on the fear of ruining a ride for me. I once did Magnum 7 times in a row and after the fourth time I was bored. I almost didn't ride Magnum for the remainder of the season.

A couple of weeks ago when I went to King's Island, we got on the beast an hour before the park opened to the general public. We didn't have to get out of our seats if we wanted to ride again. After the 5th lap I was starting to lose my love of the ride and its my favorite roller coaster anywhere. So other than a charity event, which I will do next year if they do it again, I don't plan on marathoning any rides.

I would ride Dominator, Raptor and Maverick! Those would be the ones on the top of my list!

Definately TTD for me. I would get a rollback eventually right?
