Can't wait to see you all, one of the first "big" (using that word loosely) group of people just processed in today, (had to because no one will be in the offices on Good Friday). Merch set up crew 2008 is now here...well at least the first round, there's about 25 of us rolling in...many returnees, a lot not even in merch but employees that help us out on tear down last year and were asked to help for set up this year. Three of us (there's four total, but she starts second week of set up) are coming from Castaway, our temp winter job, making our way back into the jobs we really love. So welcome to the first round, can't wait to see the rest of you start rolling in both for merch set up and other opening day "preparers" (lol) of the park. Keep y'all up to date...
And boos on the person reporting from the other park...pointbuzz.com is obviously made for Cedar Point, go comment on your own site...Please.

I should have asked this before but i was wondering if anyone knows how busy is Human Resources on April 14? I also wanted to know anyone else going that early?

HR wont be busy on the 14th at all. Most of the workers will be there the 4th. What are you doing to be there that early. I am coming down the 28th for clean up week.

Thanks for info, I am going for admissions ill be scanning the season passes that people are sending who do not want knew pictures on them and everything is knew in that department this year so i guess i have to relearn everything and then ill be working on one of the gates probably resort gate i am guessing.

May 4th, Coming from Fort Wayne, IN!

:)

Does anyone know if you work in Castaway Bay during the winter can you come back to work at Cedar Point i have been thinking a lot about staying there for the winter since there is nothing here at all.

Well, I feel a bit delayed at this...but, im from Red Jacket, West Virginia and ill be getting there the 4th of May....lucky me....ACK!!

Oh Sweet Baby Jesus!

Had a friend who used to work over at Castaway, the rule at that time was if you work at Castaway in the winter they don't allow transfers to the park when the park opens (Makes sense since they would then be short staffed when May comes around).

I am not sure if that is still the rule or not.

its a person by person basis on the castaway bay thing...I worked castaway in the winter, in fact worked both places this past week because my director asked me to help out at castaway again. (working at CP for merch for set up crew). about three other people did it in merch and apparently others are thinking about coming about even though they didn't work the summer at CP last year. So it might be possible...they constantly change their minds about it.

^ A friend of mine is processing in that day but not starting until Monday, so I guess you aren't the only one. I'm processing in the 4th and starting on Monday the 5th.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
