I liked Mantis:TCFKAB when it opened. I learned very quickly the secret to riding it without leg pain (Stand up straight. Do not bend knees. DO NOT LEAN AGAINST SEAT BACK. Legs should be STRAIGHT UP AND DOWN, *NOT* angled backward so that you can lean against the seat.)
Then they added safety belts which made it impossible for me to ride without serious thigh, back, and neck pain because the "seat" is too @#$! wide to fit between my legs. I haven't ridden Mantis:TCFKAB in many years.

My legs were usually ok, but I always got headbanging in the flat spins after the midcourse. Thank God they never stop the train the in safety brakes anymore, that was brutal too.

Dave, what does TCFKAB stand for? Always have wondered that.
Also, were you at Kings Island's opening day?
Let's Get Weird.
Yes, I've only been calling it that since 1995... :) Thanks, t2fastspin, for translating!

I'll be heading to prom. :( No opening day for me...
Same here.... :( But my girlfriend and I will be skipping post prom, she'll sleep at my place, and we'll be there bright and early Sunday morning for early entry! I'm gonna try and hit blue streak for my "opening day".

I'm hoping Single Rider #2/Chris misses another year. Last opening day was soo peaceful without him stinking up the place. :)
Also, anyone else but me think that having the title "SINGLE rider #2" (or any other title besides Bob since he was the first) is an oxymoron and completely negates the premise of the whole single rider t shirt wearing group?

That's cool dude. I'll see you there, just remind me who you are if in case I don't recognize you. It's been a long off-season and I might forget names...lol.
I unfortunately won't be there on opening day, which disappoints me.... but my first ride when i do get there, would have to be the Maverick, or Milly! Those 2 are both some of my favorite rides ever, but Raptor is my top! but to start the day off on Milly Or Mav would be the greatest!!

First horse of the year is mine, bitches.
Promoter of fog.
Last year I opened up the Breakers East pool Friday afternoon...doesnt look like a repeat this year but have fun everyone!!
I've never been there on opening weekend before. I'm going the 13th, do you think it will be really crowded? I know you can't be for certain how the crowds will be on any given date, but what have you seen in the past?
^ Last year the the park opened on the 14th, and if I remember correctly, the 15th was cold, windy, and miserable. Barely anyone was there, and half the rides weren't even running. Now obviously it was incredibly crappy that day so of course it wouldn't be packed. Although I think the pattern still remains the same, busy opening day, less busy the day after. Just going from past memories though, correct me if I'm wrong.
