I'm not working at Cedar Point, but I was just wondering what people think the coolest job is, and if it is working on a coaster tell what one.
All of a matter of opinion of course...I think the "coolest" job is anyone in the Live E Department. They all have so much talent.
I also think the best jobs are are when the employees take pride in a job well done.

the coolest job at cp is on a coaster on Magnum because everyone is always soo hyped up and at night eveyone comes back clapping and it is just really satisfying knowing that you contributed to making so many people happy.
I've always loved how the crew on the raptor are always so energetic......They really looked like they enjoyed what they did. It sometimes made me wish that I was in rides in the beginning.....but there would be now way I would leave foods now....I'm too attached :)
There's no true definition of the best job. As long as your enjoying what your doing that's all that maters.
hey Wagonboy--for once we were thinking along the same lines...although I was headed more towards the Beach entrance or top of the water slides those last couple open weekends--brrrrrrrr!!! Come to think of it, the Magnum entrance girls are usually in Smurf pant and blankets mid-summer!!
I thought the coolest job was being a guest with a season pass. ;)

I will agree with Jeff...although, working in restrooms I hear can be VERY rewarding.

Once again, any job you take pride in! Just look at Becka and I. She loves restrooms. I love foods!

I worked in Merchandise in '96 and then came back as a Lifeguard in '97. I took pride in my job and was amazed by the whole experience. I had never done anything like it before and so I believed that I had one of the best jobs in the park.
Yes, jeff is right being a full time PO!NTER is a great job, but the person who is actually on the Cedar Fair payroll that has the greatest job is Dan Feicht

I agree with Dan.
You get to walk around during the day, pretty much go wherever and do whatever, whenever you want, and get to capture one of the greatest places in the world on film.

I work for Cedar fair who owns Cedar Point, But i work at Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom in Allentown, PA and I think the coolest job there is operating the STEELFORCE.
I agree with phillip and skyride chic. Seeing the ride ops on Raptor mainly yell out "Welcome back Raptor riders how was your flight" and other lines which were way to funny to remember when they sent you out. That always got me pumped and ready (ready to go), seeing them enjoy there job and put a smile on your face.
Jeff brings up a good point though being a full time coaster rider is a fun job.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
I'm from Dorney like Dennis, I would say working at a ride is the best job to have at a park. I don't really have a favorite ride to work at but I like many of them.

The best job is probably being a supervisor becasue you can boss people around and keep things in line. Working the same ride all day could become boring after awhile. Some like it others don't. Any ride that requires water however does have its benifits if you know what I mean.
Oh Jake you said the wrong thing at the wrong place. Supervisors DO NOT and ARE NOT suppose to boss people around. Making that remark is probably one of the reasons that cp employees do not return for their second, third, etc, season because they had a supervisor/team leader who thought they were the s*** and bossed people people around. Just a small note of advice to all those potential and current Sups/TLs, your job is to lead your crew/team to their highest potential and beyond that to meet not only Cp's goals but the goal of yourself and your employees. Don't slack off and expect your crew to pick up your share of the work cuz IT WON'T WORK. Not only will they end up having a lousy summer so will you!!!!!!!!!
I would have to say that Dick Kinzel has the coolest job at Cedar Point. He gets to check out all of the Cedar Fair parks and pretty much ride anything, anytime. Plus he gets paid the big bucks to do it!
Monty Jasper I think has the coolest job.
