What I Know as an Employee

I work at CP. I am not sharing my name because I would not like to be given penalties related to my job for sharing this information. I have found out certain plans that CP is considering.

None of these plans are concrete, but they have made it past the first thought stages and into more consideration/deeper thinking stages.

Here is what I have:

1. CP is working to establish a contract with USTR (US Thrill Rides). If the Polercoaster in Florida is a success, CP is looking to add a taller and faster version in the future, possibly as their 2020 ride. A goal of CP is to create something above 800ft tall within the next 5 years.

2. After the success of GateKeeper and Valravn, the only big B&M ride CP is missing in their collection is a flying coaster (excluding Stand Up coasters, but Mantis was not super well received). B&M has been working with CP to design/draw up a 250ft Pretzel Loop. Possible location is the island, with the station/lift near Gemini/CC Mine Ride , and the turnaround near/almost under the lift hill for MF.

3. From what I have found, a Dark Ride at CP is in the works (as most suspect), but the problem is finding the year to add it, to not interfere with plans for 2020.

4. Mean Streak. I know nothing at all, except that fellow ride ops, but those who work on Mean Streak are being moved after July. But otherwise, if there are things going on with Mean Streak it is being kept very quiet.

5. Some other ride ops I know have been used on Iron Dragon as VR 'test dummies', especially in the morning pre-opening.

That's all I have found. Like I said, nothing is concrete, but these ARE ideas/plans going around.

I will try to answer questions, but what I have shared is about all I know.

Well I can say that if you are not trolling us , you really suck at your job.

I just wanted to share information I found. I really don't want to lose my job and you two aren't helping. Please, please, please pretend this never happened. I really love CP and want to keep working here for the next few years.

Tony Clark, Director of Communications, is a higher up as you call it. He does read the forums and has posted comments in the past.

By posting what you have, jeopardizes Walt and Jeff's relationship with Cedar Point.

You also might want to check your signature if you want to keep your job, which is already in question considering the information you've leaked.

I don't understand why Tony would penalize Walt and Jeff. Please don't ban me. I love Cedar Point as much as you all do. I was sharing information I found and wanted everyone to know.

I'm not trolling. I just really wanted to share what I found with you. I'm not saying I know everything, or even that all of this is 100% happening, but this is just things I found.

I'd let him keep talking. Funny how absurd speculation is open conversation, but actual projects are under wraps.
