Pete, I can not agree more with you. The fall/Halloween decorations are nice. It seems that most of the complainers complain about everything. If the haunted houses and haunt zones don't scare you enough, go to Ghostly Manor--they're experts at it. And they have the awards to prove it. (Just for the record, I am in no way connected to Ghostly Manor.)
Yes, I know someone who works at Ghostly Manor on the facility side and they put a ton of effort into making that place great! A premier haunted attraction if there ever was one.

I haven’t been to the park since the beginning of Halloweekends. How has staffing been thus far? Better than last year? Worse than last year? Ride closures due to lack of staffing?
It's been my observation that the park is well staffed this year. The only noticeable closures are some of the games but food and rides are good. Park is running smoothly.

Great to hear, Pete! I’ll be going back in a couple of weeks. I was just seeing if some kinks have been worked out since staffing has been an issue for a few years now
Haven't crowds also been smaller than in years past? If so, it might not be true that staffing has been worked out. It could just be that their staffing issues haven't been as noticeable. Just something to keep in mind.

The park has been crowded, just Sat of last weekend seemed to have a smaller crowd. Still a good crowd though. Staffing is noticeably better this year.

The way things were last year, there could have been only 500 people in the park and the staffing issues still would have been noticeable. This year has been waaaaaaay better
Deprivation has truly stepped it up this year, it was sorta my favorite haunted indoor attraction last year. It is definitely my favorite this year.
Sacrificing playing video games to ride roller coasters.
I know I'm delayed on this....but I really disliked Trail of the Foresaken. It seemed really short....there was a lack of "theme" together and it seemed as if there was a lack scares. It didn't seem too foggy either.

I have to say the wife and I were at KI Halloweekend for the first time - it truly is a much different flavor there. We really enjoyed it. Seen so much more special effects and Gorey props. nice to be a park that can not be held to "Family" Atmosphere.
So since they're doing something over in the picnic area up front, will zombie high school return in 2021?
Sort of off topic...
Scrolling through these messages and saw few comments/pic of Pete.
I didn't know Pete personally...except through Pointbuzz. He always seemed like a true CP fan.
Just wanted to take a moment and mention/remember him, as he was all over this board.
I hope he is having that drink...Cheers to You Pete

Well this article is interesting. I'm surprised they would move Blood on the Bayou since it's right there by Iron Dragon, Rougarou, and Top Thrill Dragster.
I like the move to Adventure Island. Adventure Island has not been used for an outdoor scare zone since Terror Island and from what I remember, Terror Island was an excellent outdoor scare zone based on the atmosphere of the whole island. Would be cool to see them add a haunted house somewhere on Adventure Island in the future that people can get in line from the Blood on the Bayou trail, although I feel there are a number of reasons why that wouldn't work. Just a thought.
Interesting. I was at the park in early August and I'm pretty sure the signage for Blood on the Bayou was up in it's original location. I wonder if the Dragster closure had anything to do with the move?
AndyG, when I saw the recent announcement that it was relocated to the Island, I immediately felt it was due to the TTD incident. Whatever investigation/repair/curiosity is happening with TTD is likely to be prolonged and extensive and it's in their best interest to keep people away from that scene. The Blood on the Bayou path winds directly through that area. As for it being at Adventure Island, it likely is only using a fraction of that area.
