^^ :-) good one lladnar. If my memory serves me correctly before Subway came out with the 5 dollar foot long deal a foot long was 9 or ten bucks so really your only paying 2 to 3 dollars extra for the convenience of sub way being in the park. So that is really not to bad. But is still quite expensive if you can grab one on the way there or leave.
exactly. do what i do: pack a lunch, get your hand stamped,go to the car and grub! big cooler, ton of ice packs, and you're good. u can bring all the healthy stuff u want, with some fattening brownies or cookies to go with(lol) for alot cheaper than inside the park! i do this for lunch, and usually either grab a sit-down for dinner,a quick snack,or just hit mickey d's on the way home heading towards the turnpike.
fast...Faster...FASTEST!
Just an FYI, Joe Cool Cafe now features Pizza Hut Express pizza.
Other updates in the foods area include the transition of Coffee Shop and Breakwater Cafe to buffet-style restaurants. They still offer hot sandwiches and pizza on a to-go and room service basis, but the dining rooms are now buffet only for both breakfast and dinner(with reasonable pricing!). TGI Friday's has a new menu update this season with some new sandwiches, salads, wraps and signature drinks. A new Subway location has been added in Challenge Park, next to the miniature golf entrance.
I went to Joe Cool Cafe on the Sunday of opening day weekend. Service was even worse than I expected for that weekend. A half an hour after our orders were taken, our waiter informed us that our pizza hadn't been started yet because of, believe it or not, printer issues. If I understand correctly -- and I'm not sure that I do -- pizza orders are printed out for the kitchen on a different printer than other orders. I'm assuming this has something to do with the pizzas being Pizza Hut pizzas, somehow. Apparently, the 'pizza' printer wasn't working, only nobody noticed for some time.
Because of this and other problems, we were in JCC for an hour and twenty minutes. I was not amused. In fact, it seems to me that restaurant operations and food quality have deteriorated further this season. Chuck Wagon, which had served 'down home' cooking, now only serves pizza, and not very good at that.
As far as Midway Market is concerned, I find myself increasinly in Juggalotus's 'blow it up' camp. The selection of entrees has been reduced -- I seem to remember them serving fairly palatable roast beef, not to mention burgers. Both are now gone. I barely ate a not-very-full plateful, and it was all my stomach could tolerate. I doubt I'll be going back in there again this year. Officially: TAER IT DOWN!!11!!1!!!!

Oh no, not even a whiff of a discount or free smiley fries. I suspect they're no longer comping for bad service.

It would be interesting to compare the in-park markup of Subway, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, Famous Dave's, TGI Friday's, and Johnny Rockets versus their "real world" counterparts. I'm sure Subway would win highest, but I wonder how the rest stack up.
Oh I'm sure they're all considerably more expensive. I went to a Johnny Rocket's in Orlando one time and it was MUCH cheaper than the one at CP, along with a much larger menu.
2005 - Snake River Falls
2006 - MF, WT, CCMR (and pretty much everything else...)
2007 and beyond - Disney
I did notice that JR seemed extremely overpriced.I wrote a letter to the parks management and they kind off denied that their prices were over the top.Of course,we all know better. It's their loss, because now we go off the location for our main meals.

As I found out since...essentially it is Pizza Hut,which is not all bad.
Joe Cool Cafe features Pizza Hut Express pizza in addition to a variety of other entree selections and an enlarged kids menu. For dessert, try a milkshake or a fresh baked dog bone cookie.
The Pizza Hut Express franchise is the one that used to be located inside the Coffee Shop at Hotel Breakers. Coffee Shop still offers pizza, but it is now Cedar Point pizza, similar to that served at some of the other in-park locations.
If you are looking for a great Cedar Point dinner deal, Coffee Shop offers a special meal deal - 2 medium pizzas and 4 fountain drinks for $19.99.

Thanks,I had no idea that they served real food :)
Coffee Shop is actually two separate offerings.
The back half of the restaurant is a buffet, which is open 7:30-11am for breakfast and 6-10pm for dinner.
The front half of the restaurant is a counter service location, featuring muffins, donuts and Starbucks coffee in the morning and made-to-order pizzas, hot sandwiches, chicken fingers, wraps, and fresh salads for lunch and dinner. They also provide room service to the hotel.
Operating hours vary according to season, with pizza and sandwiches being available starting at 11:00am.
Best advice - grab a pizza or some sandwiches and take the short walk out to the Beaches & Cream patio and enjoy your lunch with a beautiful view of the Hotel Breakers pool and Cedar Point Beach. When you are done with your lunch, the ice cream counter at Beaches & Cream is only a few steps away.
Just to clarify Allan. Donut Time is not the same as The Coffee Shop. The coffee shop is outside of the park in hotel breakers. We have eaten there quite a few times since we always stay in the hotel.
